We were met by an aggressive guy at the door who put up his hand and barked a quiz at us before we could enter which made us... think maybe this was a super exclusive place - but the paper napkins and disposable plastic cups said otherwise. The food rangedfrom just okay to inedible (don't even think about the ahi bruschetta). The music was literally a mix of the most annoying songsfrom the 80s and 90s. The only reason I'm not giving one star because the servers were good Read more

Took 45mins for our server to greet us. I was starving and it took over an hour to even put our food order in. We had... reservations. Only one server on a busy night, but tons of ancillary staff... Not sure why someone else couldn't have greetedus and at least brought drinks. Server was extremely kind and helpful just very, very overwhelmed. My cocktail was $14 and endedup being only about 4oz. Food was delicious, when it finally arrived. Menu was very limited though. Read more

What a great experience!!! Chris their new Chef has made some great changes and innovative changes to the menu!!! When you read... reviews of restaurants, it is almost understandable to think ?what does this guy / gal know about food? ? I have worked in therestaurant industry for more than 30 years and the food here was beyond delicious - the blend of flavors from spice withacidity, to a blend of ?a little of Hawaii? to Las Vegas as my wife described it was unbelievable! I have opened restaurants asa corporate chef and created menus from a blank piece of paper and Chris has done an amazing job here! It is a must check it outfor dinner with friends and have a libation with it! I suggest the Tapas items and share with your fiends and experience themenu that way if it is your first time to the restaurant. Everyone there was super friendly and accommodating and extremelyknowledgeable about the business! This is a must visit if you categorize or describe yourself as a ?foodie? Great job Chrisand many more successful days weeks and months of creativity and creating raving fans of the restaurant! Read more

Came here for work. This place is really nice. Awesome Aesthetics with the decor and just the overall vibe. I had Jennifer as my... server and she was very helpful even when I asked for a suggestion she worked with what I was looking for and was able to get mewhat I needed. I meant both the chef and the owner were great people. My food was great quality and came out very expediently. Ihad iced tea which was very refreshing. Didn't mind that I had work to do in their booth, and they were very helpful the entiretime I was there. From what I hear they have many events going on here and I would like to see more of them. I am going to bereturning to this place more often in the future. Read more

What a great find. First, I love that they feature local artists' art throughout the restaurant. Walk down the halls and view... some cool paintings. Luckily for me, they were featuring a few Hawaii themed art. Lol, I loved the "pakalolo." There's a rooftop bar, and they have live music and / or a DJ. Visit IG or website for featured artists performing. Diane was our server. She was absolutely great. Food: Dragon Wings Strawberry Field Salad Pork Belly Fried Rice My favorite was the wings, then thesalad, and the least was the fried rice. Don't get me wrong, all the dishes were delicious. It was flavorful and satisfying tothe belly. It's definitely a cool spot located in the Arts District. Read more

Where do I begin? Taverna Costera exceeds all expectations when it comes to food and beverage. They are serving up some... delicious, elevated coastal cuisine. I love that they offer a Hawaiian inspired menu. If you love Spam Musubi?s, I definitelyrecommend getting your hands on one (or two) of them. If you?re looking for the perfect brunch spot for large groups, events, and more, this is the place for you. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the food and the colorful cocktails. Theplating was exquisite and everything was super flavorful. I?m so glad that I got to meet both the owner and the chef; they arevery hospitable and I absolutely love what they?re doing. Next time you?re Downtown, make sure to check out Taverna Costera.Did I mention that they also have a beautiful rooftop area that they use at night? Read more
