I just walked away from this Starbucks because the customer service representative did not know what they were doing. I... understood this was not a regular Starbucks run by corporate offices, so I was ready to place an order and pay for a venti icedwater. I was extremely thirsty. It's hot in Vegas. I felt dehydrated. I was ready to pay for it. Even had my wallet out andready to pull out the money. But the customer service representative said they couldn't give me an iced water unless I boughtsomething else. I explained to them I only wanted to buy and iced water. I didn't want their little baby cup of ice water. Iwasn't asking for a free water. He said he couldn't do it. There was no way to do it. Obviously hes not trained on using thetools in front of him to accomplish the job and help aserve the customer standing in front of him. It seemed so simple to meThat if a customer wants to pay for a drink you should ring up a drink whether that be a venti iced tea or something else andthen give them what they ask for. But no this guy was adamant that he couldn't do anything to help me at all. All of this over aglass of iced water that I was willing to pay for. Terrible terrible way to do business. Had to share the story. This is the agewe live in perio where young kids don't know what they're doing and then they give you an attitude in return. I just chuckledand walked away.
