We went there on a saturday afternoon for lunch, it was nice, a friendly place full of locals and everyone knew each other. I decided to pre game for my birthday here on Friday. We ordered a dozen oysters on half shell and half dozen of crab royale... oysters, Malibu pineapple and an IPA of some sort for the husband. The oysters were good. They were alittle smaller than most ofthe oyster bars I have been to. I enjoyed the crab royale oysters. That had crab on top. Very tasty. I needed to use their bathroom and wasn't that hungry, so I thought I'd get something small. Initially, I was going to get... shrimp tacos but my friend said their clam chowder was good so, I thought I could order the same thing since the price was toogood to refuse but I need reassurance that it doesn't contain olive oil. After the server made sure that it didn't contain oliveoil then I went ahead and ordered it. I'd say it was worth every penny and more. I forgot to ask if they made their ownsourdough bread bowl because it was perfectly cooked. Lightly crisp on the outside and tender on the inside and mouth fillingwhen smothered with their well blended claim chowder. It was really good. My only complaint and it's not a real complaint, sinceyou can't complain that there's not enough claims for that price. I'm going back to try their other food and you should too!Cheers Read more
Someone recommended that I dine here while in Vegas. The wait staff was friendly, but the food was subpar at best. I checked the... menu in advance and anticipated enjoying a seafood salad and lobster roll. The salad came out first? with a long strand of hairreaching from one side of the plate to the other (literally). I sent the salad back and ordered blackened shrimp tacos instead(pictured below). The lobster roll came out? unfortunately, the menu failed to disclose the fact that the lobster roll was madewith imitation lobster, unheard of for a seafood restaurant? needless to say I sent that back also. Finally my blackened shrimptacos came out? the tacos had three optional methods of preparation for the meat, fried, grilled and blackened? only problemwas, instead of the blackened shrimp that I anticipated, it was made with chopped cocktail shrimp and way too much blackeningseasoning that was simply put on top of the already cooked shrimp. ???? I don?t think my expectations were too high, I onlywanted the food as described on their misleading menu. I don?t know how they got such a high rating. An awesome place out in Summerlin!! The fish and chips here are fantastic as well as the crab cakes. Nice pasta dishes also!! ... The artichoke crab dip and chips for appetizer is terrific with wine! Las Vegas visitors, this is well worth the drive off theStrip to get some good food!! Best part it is open 24 hours. When I worked nights, i could call in a take out order and pickit up on the way home. It was a really nice treat to grab a wonderful meal after work on the way home! If you love seafood you will love this place. The staff is friendly and the food is fantastic. We ordered steamed clams, bacon... wrapped shrimp and fried oysters. Everything is very fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. They have the best fried oysters intown. We love the place and have been back several times since. Give it a try and tell me if I'm right.
