Reviews for Old Homestead in Las Vegas, NV
Had an amazing experience at Old Homestead. Arrived a little earlier than our reservation time of 6pm on a Saturday night, but... that wasn't a problem. We were immediately seated and greated by our server Eva; who was amazing all night! Eva recommended acouple nice bottles of wine and we choose one to our liking. Placed our order without any issues and had an overall greatexperience. If there was anything that could use some improving, I'd say the Ceasar Salad. The dressing was rather basic andhad no real flavor; seemed possible even water downed. Other than that I would highly recommend this steak restaurant. I'veeaten at almost every properties steak place and this one is highly ranked in my book! I will return! Read more
So the first time we ate here, it was during Covid (2020), so we weren't able to have the dining experience, but we did enjoy... the food via room service. This time we got the full dining experience, and it was pretty good. The atmosphere was cool. Softlighting and moderate noise. The service was very professional and delightful. As for the food, nothing was bad, but the itemsthat really stood out was the Bisque soup and Truffle Mashed Potatoes. My wife had the Scallops, which were just okay. We hadthe sweet corn which tasted more like a Mexican corn. I had the 8oz Cap Ribeye, which was tasty and juicy enough to were itdidn't need any sauce!!!! We had the Crab cake for an appetizer, which was good too. But the one thing we couldn't get enoughof was those Truffle mashed potatoes... I highly recommend them!!! We also got a complimentary birthday dessert which was adelicious cheesecake!!! Read more
The French Onion soup was delicious. Ordered the OH Burger. It was good, not great but just good. The waiter was very... friendly. Glad for the experience but probably wouldn't go back. Nothing happened bad. Too pricey for what you received. Read more
A fine classic steakhouse. We both had surf and turf. Steaks were perfectly prepared and top quality. Shrimp cocktail features... full size prawns <3. French Onion soup is quite good. Oysters are offered "east coast or west coast" -- choose west coast. Yourmeal will be expensive, as is everything at Caesars. Well worth it for a special night out. Read more
Coming from Texas, we can be a little snobby about our steaks but this was absolutely divine! Definitely better than any steak... restaurant we've gone to in Texas. Easily the worst place I have ever ate... The waiter never came back to check on us at all the food was way too expensive for... the taste. The taste of the food was either extremely to salty or extremely to plain or way to hard or way to raw. We had avariety of items we ordered and none of them were good enough to finish. No normal drink selection you just get stuck drinkingwater. The pork chop was not a pork chop it was so hard and so salty neither off is could eat even a quarter of it without fearof having a heart attack from the amount of salt.. bill was $389.00 for 5 people. We had a bottle of Malbec ???????? to drink, just delicious! The giant meatball and caprese to start. The giant meatball was... really good, the caprese, just ok, as any other really, didn't stand out. As mains we had the 16oz Prime Ribeye and 16oz WagyuRibeye. Initially they both came in and the servers didn't know which was which cause we got each other's plate but we didn'tnotice until we called over another server since they were both medium, neither was medium rare which is what was ordered on theWagyu. They also both arrived lukewarm and with almost no salt at all. They did ask how it was after a couple minutes and Ihonestly said it wasn't medium rare and I wasn't enjoying it so they said they would replace it no prob. My brother didn't sayanything on his, he doesn't really like to complain unless it's bad. The replacement was ON POINT. Hot, medium rare and quite abit of seasoning (almost too much), soooo soft and good ???????? So why 4 stars? Well, being a steakhouse and what you'repaying here, the doneness should be perfect every single time, also the seasoning... the temperature of the meat can be forgivenas long as it's not cold but fat definitely tastes a whole lot better hot. It's also quite expensive, but then again, everything @ Caesar's is ???? Read more
