Reviews for Mountain West Eatery in Las Vegas, NV
This place has a nice ambience. Good selection of food, southwest american and filipino cuisine. We had sinigang salmon belly,... and kare kare and my son had the mountain burger with fries. Staff was friendly. Overall nice place to eat. Would definitelycome back here. Read more
Good food from what we had. The fish sandwich and the brisket bacon sandwich. The airport recommended this place. What we got... was good. Their tea was horrible though like old and barely sweet. Read more
This place was fantastic. The moment we walked in the door, the hostesses were super friendly. They checked on us often and THE... FOOD was phenomenal! I had brisket and eggs and even the eggs were fluffy and perfectly cooked. The brisket was hot, tender andmelt in your mouth. The smothered potatoes were so good even my husband was eating off my plate as well. I highly recommend! Wewill definitely be coming back. Read more
We happened upon this place looking for breakfast and I've never been so happy about a meal. The smothered potatoes are... incredible, seasoned to perfection. My omelet was light and fluffy and even those eggs perfectly flavored with salt andpepper. I had to get a side of their Basement Fries because finding fresh cut fries is getting harder and harder to do. Makesure you try their sweet sausage. My husband got some and wooo-eee! Overall, so happy with our meal and experience. The staffwere super friendly and attentive. I'm telling everyone about this place. Read more
A perfect start to my day-a giant cup of good quality coffee(with flavored creamers), a well-prepared waffle with soft butter... and an egg over easy. Friendly and efficient Staff. Nice clean environment and easy parking. I?d passed many times since it?sopening but only now had an opportunity to stop-sorry it took me so long as this may be my new breakfast spot. Did I mentiongreat background music too. Read more
Decided to check this place out today for breakfast. Met the owner Rick, he?s had the place for 2 years. Super nice guy,... especially since he was actually out front doing the watering of the plants before opening. Kelsie the Manager took our order. Igot the Breakfast Brisket, it was several slices of brisket with BBQ sauce on it, 2 eggs cooked well done, Smothered Potatoeswhich were fried potatoes with onions, fried green peppers in them. You also get a pancake with it. The Brisket was smoked withhickory wood and was nice and tender, the barbecue sauce gave it just a little zip to the flavor. The smothered potatoes weregood but needed a little bit of seasoning to give them some more taste. The star of the food turned out to be the pancake whichwas nicely made and the melted butter on top added a great taste and the syrup made it all come together perfectly. Service wasoff the chart. They checked on us numerous times and were super friendly. Read more
Walked in and was greeted by the host and lead to a table by a guy who later identified himself as the owner. He was a very nice... guy and was clearly very proud of his establishment. The atmosphere was nice with blues music playing in the background. Hetook our orders and was very attentive while doing so and we didn't feel rushed through the process. He answered questions andmade suggestions based off the small talk we had. The food came out in a the time it takes to make real food. Not too long of await. We originally ordered the chicken and waffles and the chicken breakfast. I ended up having to switching out the chickenand waffles for chicken fried steak because the waffle machine was on the fritz. This must have confused the kitchen. I endedup with chicken fried chicken and we received scrabble eggs instead of the hard boil eggs that were ordered. It was nevercorrected after bringing it to the attention of the staff. I enjoyed the food but I think it could have been a slightly betterexperience. We'll try it again for dinner or lunch before I decide if it's worth adding to the eatery rotation. Read more
Such a southern gem on Blue Diamond. The food was flavorful. We have been searching for a place with good southern food and... today we found a place to call home. I may never cook again. We tasted the shrimp and grits, chicken wings, catfish, collardgreens in pork, cornbread, smothered potatoes and peach French toast. Rick the owner was friendly and helpful. Even though theywere short on staff as most places are these days, the food and atmosphere made us glad we stayed. We took the chicken pot piehome and it was fire. We will definitely be back.
