Anywhere I go I look to try any southern/Louisiana cruisine restaurant. This restaurant is off the strip but from top to bottom... everything takes me back to Louisiana. Everyone was very friendly and eager to show me how to crack open crawfish, as it was my first time. I came down to visit and... one of his friends recommended this restaurant, as I wanted to try Cajun food. Everything was delicious and then I waspleasantly surprised to enjoy live jazz at the end of the meal. I didn't even notice the grand piano was sitting there until avery talented man began playing. Lola's! It was our choice for dinner this evening. Such a fun atmosphere and super friendly and helpful staff. We started with... craw puppies with a spicy cajun aoili. Entrees were Shrimp and Gouda Grits for me and Tchoupitoulis for my friend. My shrimpand grits were creamy and smooth with a punch of cajun spice from the andouille sausage. The catfish in my friend's dish wascrunchy on the outside, but moist and flaky on the inside and the etoufee was delicious with a great kick of spice as well. A large group of us had dinner here, two of our friends had this on their restaurant list because of the Louisiana style food.... The server was amazing, he did a great job staying on top of all our needs and getting drinks and food out in a timely manner. Ihad the shrimp and grits, OMG so good! Hubby had the Cajun style chicken and Alfredo, he really liked it! Everyone at the tablehad great things to say about their selections. We want to go back for sure! Read more
