I really enjoy attending professional luncheons here. Parking is easy and it's conveniently located in the center of town with... easy access and stop lights. The food is good and today we had options to choose chicken, seafood, or vegetarian. We always hadrefills of ice tea. For dessert, they brought out cheesecake, which I declined and so the server surprised me with a sorbet! Soyummy and it was just enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. Large open entryway, with vintage decor. There's a separate bar area as well as a dining area. Since i was grabbing dinner just... before my flight, I had my luggage with me. The host stored my luggage and seated me soon afterwards. The server was courteousand explained the menu very thoroughly. I ordered the Lawry Cut Prime Rib and added Creamed Corn to my meal. It came with mashedpotatoes and gravy, the meal was started off with bread and the Spinning Bowl Salad. Everything was Delicious. I used to go tothe one in Chicago until it closed. Had later reservations but got into town early and they were able to accommodate us. Our server Pamela was great and explained... everything to us. The food was really good but it wasn't the best prime rib I've ever eat (Taste of Texas - Houston claims thathonor). Still, it was really good and everyone we interacted with was very polite and seemed genuinely interested in makingsure our visit was memorable. Read more

This was my first time ever experiencing Lawry’s and I was not disappointed. The inside of the restaurant is absolutely... stunning. Very Art Deco with a warm ambiance and welcoming. I felt like I stepped into a time capsule of the 30’s! Everyonewas very polite and the servers were attentive. Our waiter Cecil was phenomenal and even gave us a brief history lesson. Thefood as well oh my! You get to see them cut the meat in front of you, my aunt and I were lucky enough to experience someone thatwas doing that job for 20 years! I got the Lawry Cut of the prime rib. It was the best I've ever had. They served it with "spinning bowl salad", mashed potatoes,... Yorkshire pudding, and creamed corn (or spinach). I got the corn, but they will allow you to get half corn & half spinach if youwant. Will definitely be back. Read more

I was here as part of a group for a wedding trip. I got the filet and it was pretty good. Not the best I’ve ever had but... pretty good. I wouldn’t say it was completely worth the price but that’s what you pay when eating in a (kind of) nicerestaurant. I also had some wine, I don’t know which wine it was because someone else got it for me but it was really good! Ibelieve it was a cabinet. The overall restaurant was a little outdated. The service was professional and efficient. Also beprepared because they only let you split the check 3 ways!! After many years, we finally decided to try this place out as we wanted a good prime rib. The decor is more of an old school... classic with the service being very attentive and friendly. We each ordered the Lawry's cut with sides to share. The prime ribwas delicious and did its job of satisfying the craving. It was really tender and flavorful. The onion rings were spot on aswell as the baked potato. The only think that was lacking was the Mac n cheese. Overall, great experience and great company. Read more
