Truly some of the best food in Vegas. If you're staying at the Mandalay Bay are the Delano this is a fantastic Japanese inspired... restaurant to stay at. We got the sea bass which was wrapped in lettuce and it tasted so amazing. The services fantastic as wellas the lighting and the restaurant. Try the Chef‘s Experience - it is a firework of amazing textures and flavors. Delicious Food, nice atmosphere and mostly great... friendly service. Why mostly? Because when we finished Dinner and where thinking about ordering some good Japanese Whisky (theyhave some nice ones as well as some really good Sake Selection) and possibly some additional food they already brought us thebill without asking. We made sure to make a reservation and arrived a bit early. They quickly accommodated us and found us a great seat in the upper... dining area. The wait staff was attentive but not intrusive. We chose to order the Chefs Tasting Menu and we were notdisappointed. Our server Tommy was exceptional! A friend and I celebrated a birthday here. We sat at the sushi bar and were looked after very well by one of the chefs. My... friend enjoyed Kumi Rock roll, asparagus tempura and spicy tuna on crunchy rice and I had omakase which included toro, chutoro,otoro and uni. We also tried sea eel (anago) a first for me which was good, cooked by one of the chefs and more delicate tastingthan unagi. Some sake and a glass of red wine rounded out an excellent meal. The wagyu gyoza and tempura were tasty appetizers. The short ribs was cooked perfectly and seasoned so well. The sake and peach... bliss cocktail was so yummy as well. Service is outstanding! Quite an exquisite experience. Our waiter was by far most eloquent and cordial. Now to the food review. So for our experience we... had what could be considered a tasting menu. Outstanding food and service. The restaurant is also very cool and trendy. Definitely a little overpriced though. The KUMI rolls... were really good but will cost you almost $30 for 8 pieces. The Toro roll was also great, but regular rolls are pretty smallwith only 6 pieces. Good cocktails for $19. I recommend the lava cake for dessert! Read more
