So I stayed here during a shift change!! Everything was awesome with a David —until heleft—I was semi ignored after letting waiter know I needed a printed copy of my first service $112. I then order somethingelse and told the busboy that I needed I printed copy of my first service. I had to hunt down the waitress for and add on!! Stopped at this hidden gem of a restaurant in the Mandalay Bay hotel prior to the Michael Jackson ONE show and had a wonderful... experience. Be sure to sit at the bar where the bartenders are engaging and friendly and order the amazing barbacoa tacos!Drinks were strong, food was delicious and service was super fast even on this busy holiday weekend. 1st time here. Cute decor. They served chips and with salsa and another dip that tasted like it was made with smoked peppers.... Both were good. Ordered the fish taco. It was good as well but nothing spectacular. I told my waitress to surprise me withwhatever blended margarita was good. She served me strawberry margarita, which was rimmed with sugar. This was my first time visiting this restaurant. The restaurant was clean and has a very friendly staff. They provide chips and... salsa to start, and they are delicious! Last night it was my first time here although my family goes often to the Summerlin branch. Overall a good choice for Mexican... food and casual ambience. Service was good. Our waiter provided decent service but could have done it better and I will tellyou why later. The choice for chips and salsa as soon as you arrive is a good but here my first suggestion for them ….. thechips are way to salty - less salt will be key to make it perfect because the sauces have enough salt too. This was theimpression of many people in the group. With the chips there are two sauces: red (type of pico de gallo) and the brown one whichis the winner, mild, not spicy but very tasty. In the menu you can find appetizers, tacos, burros, etc and about 3 choices fordessert. They offer a selection of margaritas too. We didn’t find anything extra special in the food ordered for a group of 15people. I went for pozole soup and I requested not to add onions, the waiter said that it wasn’t possible because the onionswere already cooked in the soup. I ordered that soup anyways knowing that I will have cooked onions but my surprise was to finda bunch of chopped fresh onions in the soup, this ruined my experience because I was specific about not having fresh onions inthe soup. I wonder if the waiter doesn’t know well about the menu or simply he didn’t care about my request. I ended upremoving all the pieces of onions manually and when I finished my soup was cold (see picture). Please take in consideration yourclients request. The little ice cream with the candle and the Mexican hat to celebrate birthdays is a good idea. It would benice to hear Mexican music because you are in a Mexican cantina however the mix we heard was from Colombia, Puerto Rico,Dominican Republic with salsa, bachata, regueton , merengue why not rancheras or Mexican music to complement the menu and nameof the restaurant.?
