Super dry chicken. The skin was hard. I?m led to believe they?re serving leftover chicken from previous evening. Because it?s... not over cooked it looks reheated. It?s tough. That?s mean. DO NOT GO TO THIS El Pollo Loco. I literally waited in the drive thru for almost 30 minutes, when I arrived there were... approximately five vehicles ahead of me. Under normal circumstances I would expect maybe a ten minute wait at most. Afterwaiting for half a hour I finally received my food, only to find they did not give me my complete order after pulling out. Iimmediately parked and attempted to go inside but the door was locked. I knocked and was completely ignored, finally I found thephone number and called. The woman who answered the phone refused to open the door to give me my missing taco, she told me I wasmore than welcome to drive back around to the drive thru. Are you serious? 30 minutes in the drive thru already and you expectme to do it again. She also would not issue a refund for the missing taco, not that the cost matters but this was not a cheaptaco, regardless it is a matter of principle. Needless to say, I never received the taco or a refund. I am completely disgustedand can assure you I will never spend another penny at any el pollo loco location. Read more
We've been coming here once or twice a month starting 8 or 10 years ago, or when they opened. The food is usually fairly decent... ... until tonight. We used the drive through and ordered two family chicken dinners, we received one so ordered a second at thepick up window. When we got home, we spread out the Mother's Day "Feast", and six of us dug in. Unfortunately, the chicken wereceived tonight was definitely NOT the normal food we get. The chicken was over cooked and very dry. It seemed that we got somechicken that had been set much too long under the heat lamp. We ate (some had to leave so we had no time to return the badfood). I would just recommend NOT serving old, overcooked, dried out chicken to your customers. Some skin was so dry and crispy,my son jokingly chomped it very noisily. Will we return? Most likely since, as I said, usually the food here is great. Justplease serve fresh (or fresher) chicken. We might forego the drive through and come in to make sure our next order is up topar. Well... once again eating fast food bit me in the gullet. I ordered the family dinner. For the most part the chicken was done.... Sides were tasty, with the exception of the "family salad" was a complete let down... unlike the menu photo showing an opulenceof vegetables, I was instead greeted with a complete and total salad well past its prime. The salad was completely inedible. It smelled rotten. How long does a "freshly" pre prepared last anyways? 3-5 days maybe. So shame on you for passing this on tome, and shame on me for shelling out good money for an old salad. Check out the avocado. I warned you! Read more
