Reviews for Chickpeas Mediterranean Cafe in Las Vegas, NV
Not my favorite place, Y'all. I had the kabobs with rice and salad and all I can say is it was interesting. It was supposed to... be Mediterranean but the salad dressing tasted Asian. I asked for chicken kabob so I expected to receive chicken breast chunks.I received pressed ground chicken. I was very disappointed. Same deal with my son's plate. Ground meat. We ate the food but itwas not satiating at all. The salad was the best part. Read more
Friendly staff. Food is decent but may be too authentic for most. Nothing actually gave me the 'wow' factor here. Would have... gave a 5 star rating but we were refused to take off certain toppings in the salad that we didn't want so we had to do it afterwe were served. Read more
Chickpeas is one of my go to's when I don't feel like cooking. I grab the small family meal (30 bucks. Now 40) and the lentil... soup. Feeds me for a week. Food has been great every time. I am not a fan of lentils but I love this soup! 7/22 -- Lentil souptastes acidic, maybe rancid. Called back and was told that was the taste. Going to return tomorrow and get a fresh batch. Read more
I went to chickpeas new location on Lake Mead boulevard. This was my first time trying out their food. I ordered the chicken... bowl and I must say it was delicious! Their food is very fresh the chicken was moist and tender. They were very friendly and itwas very clean inside. I will definitely be going back. Read more
I stopped in because I was getting my car detailed across the street. The woman working was very welcoming, and the place seemed... pretty lowkey. I ordered the lamb shawarma, the flavor profile was great, exactly what I wanted, but there were some notabledisappointments. The ingredients that were out buffet style to be served were not fresh, the lettuce had oxidized (the red thatappears), it is still safe to eat, but I do hold restaurants to a higher standard than my own kitchen ???? Also, the lamb wasnot fresh either, it was dry. It was fine in the sandwich being masked by all the great flavors and the actual flavor profile ofthe meat was great as well, but eating the lamb on its own was a mistake? All in all because I slammed it back i?ll give thisplace a 4. I hope to try it again some day with better quality ingredients! Read more
I've tried 5 mediterranean restaurants in Las Vegas so far and Chickpeas is by far the best in every regard. - The staff are... always friendly (if a little overly busy) - The portions are large - The food tastes great - The food is authentic (according tomy Lebanese and Greek friends who approved this review) While some restaurants offer a larger variety of options, Chickpeasabsolutely has the best seasoned, most well cooked food in the city at this price range. The shawarma is always phenomenal withfresh, well stored vegetables and perfectly chewy pita. The kebabs are a little on the pricy side, but expertly cooked andexploding with flavor. Their pizzas, likewise, have a rich smoky flavor from their brick fire oven. Even the fries and saladsare sizeable portions and well made. My #1 pick: Lamb shawarma, fries, tzatziki dressing, and tabouli salad. Combined, it's ameal that more than fills me up (a 270 pound man), and has a huge variety of flavors, textures, and aroma. It'll leave youfeeling full without the terrible weight and discomfort of other meals. Read more
I have been here before while in business in Vegas. The food is served warm and fresh but lacks a wow factor. Today we ordered a... mixed koobideh kabab plate with an extra beef skewer. We also ordered an additional Shiraz salad. The food tasted good but I wasquite surprised and even laughed when the lady brought out the plate with a tiny pita pita bread probably the size of the palmof my hand (2 -3 inch round) I told her for three skewers this all the bread? She said yes do my husband told the counter hewould pay for additional bread. Come on folks - we are middle eastern people, you need bread but this is bit much. Read more
Wish I had gotten the Mediterranean burger much sooner. It's so tasty & juicy! Some things have changed over time like portion... size. I remember when fries used to come with a shawarma plate and a good amount of them too. Now they are sold separately andyou get a much less amount. Still a devoted customer. Read more
