What happened to Cafe Rio?? I went to the original CR when it first opened in St. George. The food has always been steller,... until it became a chain. Lately, the quality has taken a hard turn. This location doesn't even taste like Cafe Rio. Thetortilla is clearly not hand made, it looked and tasted like it came out of a bag. The house dressing also looked and tastednothing like it used to. The tortilla and dressing are what makes CR, CR. The rice also tasted different. The quality controlneeds some serious help. Also, I asked for sweet pork and got beef. My sister warned me this location is particularly bad andalways gets the order wrong when you drive through. I should have heeded her warning. This was the worst experience I have everhad. Del Taco would have tasted better. Pull it together CR, we can clearly see where you are cutting corners. Can I get mymoney back? Terrible. Read more

I usually go inside so I can watch them make my salad, however I was on my way home from the urgent care with my daughter and... didn?t want to go inside to possibly infect anyone, so I went through the drive-through. Big mistake! My daughter and I orderedthe exact same thing which is a Barbacoa salad. I always ask for sour cream, which I know is additional charge and salsa Frescaon the side. We pull up to the window and basically had to re-give them my order and they even had to ask if it was for one ortwo salads. I should?ve known from then that it was gonna go downhill from there. We get our salad and the sour cream is missingwhich you pay extra for and the salsa Fresca is not there either. Not too mention I?ve never seen so many salad butts in asingle salad ever. The quality and service is less than desirable and really needs to be improved at this location. I would bemuch more understanding of the mistakes if they were currently slammed with customers, however, that wasn?t the case there wasonly one other person in the drive-through with me and one person inside. I truly love Cafe Rio. When going to this location, Itypically go inside because every time I?ve gone through the drive-through, which is only about two other times, the orders havebeen completely wrong each time. So I go inside to visually see it and correct it before taking my order. So I knew there was agood chance of my order being wrong since I was going to the drive-through, however, having a sick kid, I wasn?t going to exposeanyone to that. I really do want to continue to come to this location since for one it?s convenience is close to my house andtwo to support the Café Rio in our area, however, I?m afraid that I may have to soon start going to the further locationCentennial. I just want to be able to trust the drive-through the way I can when I physically go inside. Although I am giving anegative review, I do have to complement the staff on always being very nice. They just need to Read more

10/18/22 This was a return trip. We normally order online for pick up. This time We went inside to order for take out. Very nice... and clean interior. Michelle at the order counter was excellent. She was very friendly, cheerful, helpful and patient.Everything looked fresh and delicious. There was a large selection of sides, sauces and condiments to add on to your entree. Weselected the barbicoa nachos, shreded chicken taco and shredded beef taco with sides if rice and black beans. They wereyummy. We ordered online for pickup at restaurant. It was easy to select online and pay. You can select time of pickup. Ourorder was ready right on time. We picked it up in the restaurant. It was very neat and clean. Customer service was very friendlyand helpful. They packaged the meal with care and provided utensils and napkins. The food was fresh and delicious. We likedthe extras and add on selections. The Tuesfay taco is a bargain. Definitely will return. Read more

Let me start by saying we have given this location over a dozen tries. We love Cafe Rio but as many other have stated this... location is TRASH! The sweet pork has no flavor! Go to any other location and it?s almost red with the delicious sauce thislooks like plain shredded pork. My steak had been in the warmer so long it was dry and over cooked. Beans and rice areinconsistent at best and often hard and under cooked with little flavor. I?ve seen the ?owner? respond to many reviews bottomline we are at the location prime time on a week day night and it?s empty. If they don?t change sadly there is no way they cansurvive. 2 years of bad reviews and an average of 2.9 stars is pathetic 188 people can?t be wrong. Corporate should take overand fix it. Close it for two weeks and have a grand reopening as an apology to the community. Last time for our family at thislocation. Read more

Not bad. Salads with meat topping $11+. The lime drink I like very much.
