A year later gave it another try and this was the salad. Sent my husband and he never ordered before and this is what they gave... us. This is the closest location to our home which is still a 20 min drive. One lost customer no big deal but this is bad. Read more
Service workers were rude except the cashier. Grilled chicken was over cooked/extra hard and dry. Will never go to this... location again. Garbage was over filled. Drink machine not working till asked about 4 times. They act like customer is a bother. Read more
Good service and good food. Salad with black beans and beef.
They're so inconsistent with their portions (not in favor of the customer either.) Often times, they're stingy with the cheese... in their CHEESE quesadilla. I mean we're paying $10+, give me more than a sprinkle! Also, they stuff their burritos withfiller rice and beans and only use the smallest portion of whatever protein you want. I doubt they even put 2 ounces of proteinin their burritos. I've learned you tell them LIGHT rice and beans in order for them to give you a fair portion of protein. Weshouldn't have to play games to get a fair portion for what they charge, and it ain't cheap here. For their chips and salsa($4+), they don't even fill their brown bag with 50% of chips! It should be 60-75% filled with chips. Other Cafe Rio locationsI've been to (Blue Diamond, Town Square) fill their bags 60-75% with chips. When I'm craving Mexican food, I'm LEAST LIKELY tochoose this Cafe Rio because I don't feel like I'm getting good value for my money. I only go here if my family is reallycraving their sweet pork barbacoa (which isn't that often thank goodness). At least the flavor of the food isinconsistent. Customer service here is hit or miss as well. Sometimes you get average, but most times you get below averagecustomer service. I've never been blown away by their efficiency or friendliness. Food was fine but charged twice (I think on purpose). Payed for food, credit card said approved, please remove card. No... receipt came out and I was told it didn't go through. Cashier called someone over who 100% guaranteed it didn't go through. Charged again but this time she reached over and selected no tip (so the total would be different, maybe). Had to callcorporate to get a refund (in 7 working days - hopefully). Told corporate I think the extra charge was on purpose as the placewas empty and the cashier could see on her side that it went through. I told corporate It would be easy to check for a secondcharge on the same card within a few minutes to see if this is an ongoing problem. She said they would look into it but thetone of her voice says otherwise. Best thing is to have your credit card company email/text you any time your card is charged. Then wait a bit for confirmation before paying a second time. Edit: Turns out they were right. They tried to charge my cardbut the first charge never appeared on the bill. The second one did. Sure looked like a scam to me because they knew exactlywhat it was doing. I guess whoever does IT for Cafe Rio has there hands full. Read more
