This food made me want to be of Greek heritage! Absolutely bursting with flavor and freshness. The falafel was the best I had... tasted. From hummus to veggies to grilled chicken and even pita bread. Food is good but Im not very happy about ordering my salad with extra dressing on side. I always take my salad home it?s too big... to eat now it?s completely soggy and a waste of food. First time we tried Greek City Cafe but was looking forward based on the reviews. Today we did take out. My guy ordered his... go-to gyro and loved it. The gyro meat was tasty but not salty. The vegetables were fresh and plentiful as was the meat. Frenchfries were good even when reheated in the skillet. My Greek salad looked wonderful with iceberg and spring greens as well as chickpeas, chopped tomatoes, red onion, feta cheese and the Florida Greek salad staple, potato salad. Sadly the lettuce was pastit's prime; wilted and soggy. The dressing was watery and tasteless. I'm certain if it was fresh it would have been delicioustoo. I took two pictures of the salad. The one in the bowl is shown with anchovies from home. The second in the to-go box afterI had plated my salad. If only it had been fresh, this review would be five stars. The pita and tzatziki were good too. Thefour star rating is based on the type of establishment where you order your food at the counter. I?ve ordered here several times but this was my first time eating inside. I usually get the vegetarian bowl which is amazing but... wanted to try the California bowl, and it was just as great! Called in an order to pick up for 4 people. Order was on time and correct. Food was all prepared perfectly with ample portions.... The Greek salad was super fresh and had the perfect amount of potato salad and feta cheese. I got a side of chicken breast toadd to the salad and it was the best tasting chicken o have ever had. Marinated with herbs and lemon juice and very tender. TheCalifornia chicken bowl was great with fresh avocado and delicious chicken. The Greek power bowl was delicious with 2 kinds ofmeat and a flavorful sauce. The Greek nachos were piled high with goodies and were very filling. A delicious dinner! Read more
I take out or dine in here couple times a week. This last time they didn?t add a spoon or fork to my order. It?s insignificant,... but when you work 20 minutes away from this restaurant and don?t carry silverware with you, don?t assume that the person handingyou the order is smart enough to add those things.
