Without any credentials or basis in fact, my girlfriend and I consider ourselves connoisseurs of dive bars. She is a veteran of... the service industry, and I like to drink. I've also lived in 6 different cities around the US, and she was a cross country tourguide. There are certain earmarks of a quality dive. First, you want a varied crowd. An earlier commenter mentioned the diversecrowd, possibly due to karaoke, and I have to agree. There is a palpable feeling of welcome to it. I know that my gf has beenhere at least twice with just girlfriends of her own for company, and had a great time barring one too-persistentsuitor. Second, the best dives cannibalize the others. If you visit for a while, it becomes clear that people leave otherplaces to end their night here. Huge positive vibe to have more folks steadily arriving. Lastly, regular events to make youwant to come back. In this case, it's the karaoke. Wide range of talent present but there will always be applause. Cute stageand a very good song selection. I've been to many bars locally, and I will admit, this place did have an amazing vibe/crowd. Very mixed crowd, young, middle... aged, etc. Very diverse. This I feel has a lot to do with the karaoke they do every night. After my first visit, I can honestlysay this place is in my top three most entertaining local establishments. I didn't order any food, and by the looks of theplace, I would never expect a Michelin level chef kickin out the eats, I'm sure it's fine bar food. Plus, if you can rememberwhat the food taste like in a place like this, you probably aren't having a good time anyway. I was able to order a drink ratherquickly, the bartenders were pretty amazing considering the layout (paying attention to multiple orders, from multipledirections). The bar is a circular shape, with seats all around, and then additional seating around the parameter of the room, avery unique setup. I went on a Friday night, arrived around 9pm, submitted a song, and it probably took me a good 1.5 hours toget called up. That should give you a good idea on how busy the singer-list is. I would imagine, you might get two songs in ona busy night, which makes me wonder what a normal weekday night would be like. From what I remember there was also a pool tablein the back of the bar, and based on some of the people there, they also hold pool competitions throughout the week. Great place for karaoke and bar food! I love the mozz sticks and the wings! Nice selection of domestic bottles and drafts along... with some craft beer. Full liquor bar. Went and spent Christmas Eve into Christmas with a friend. Drinks are measured and poured , not free handed. So you'll never get... more. First place I've been to this way. There was no food when I went which was ok. It's a smoking bar, Soni don't know whenthe food starts or stops. Small space, however they still manage to fit in karaoke and a pool table. Nice touch. The whole placeis centered around an island bar. And prices are about average. Not cheap , and some drinks are really expensive. And someaverage. An ok experience overall. We orderd 2 burgers and 2 Mac and cheese bites and OMG it was phenomenal. The biggest, juiciest burgers I have ever had. I... never ordered from them before but I will definitely order from them again. Best burgers in Florida hands down! Read more
