Reviews for La Laguna Mariscos & Sushi in Laredo, TX
Everything was good! Patio is perfect for nice weather to enjoy food and fresh air! Enjoyed Mexican Dos Equis Beer. Mexican... Tamarindo Chile Candy sticks and Cucumber garnished my drink perfectly! Also the oyster cocktail with avocado and onionsperfectly blended with cilantro and their special cocktail sauce. La Laguna Mariscos & Sushi is the place to be for seafoodlovers and sushi lovers alike. I highly recommend any of their cheladas preparadas they are a feast for the eyes and even moreso for your taste buds. I give a 5 star ???????????????????? rating. Terrible, apathetic service ruin a otherwise good meal. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else! Visiting Laredo from San... Antonio and hearing of the hoopla surrounding the opening of La Laguna near The Rim, I had high hopes of eating at thislocation. I've visited La Laguna several times in my past Laredo trips, most recent in February, and have seen the decline inservice and quality of experience. On this visit during a steady Sunday night (not busy at all) the server wore her mask underher nose while she randomly walked up to our table of four and muttered "Drinks." No hello, introduction, name, or welcome...Just "Drinks" Four waters ordered, four bottles of HILL COUNTRY bottle water dropped off at the table with chips and 2sauces. We were still looking over the menu so asked for a minute... 15 mins later she returns to rudely take our order, "Whatdo you want." We order then asked for more chips and she said ok. After 12 mins of waiting for chips I went to the front to tella guy that our service was terrible as the server disappeared again. He asked another server to take us chips, which came outpromptly. Maybe 5 mins later the first plate of food is brought out. Seven mins later 2 more plates of food are brought out. Theserver asks if everything looks good and I ask about my plate, she looks at me like i was crazy for asking for food at arestaurant then asks what I ordered. I look at her amazed that she didnt realize an entire plate if food is missing. She checksher pad and disappears for over 10 minutes. Another person brings out the plate. It took over 30 minutes for my food to comeout!!! She forgot to put in my food order!!! I thought of complaining again but the front desk didnt care the first time Icomplained. When the bill came out, we were charged $2 for each HILL COUNTRY bottle of water!!! This place is a RIP off and ajoke! I'm not one to rant and complain but this was the last straw. The manager removed the waters and we were charged for t Read more

Stellar service! This was my first time visiting and boy was I impressed. I'm originally from Laredo and live in Corpus... Christi, have been for 10 years now. So, this place was new to me. The selection of Micheladas is something to be seen. I'venever seen so many variations to one of my favorite cocktails. I didn't eat this time around, but I can say the appetizerplatter was awesome. The salsas have an awesome flavor and theres this small sample of what looks like sauteed marlin that isout of this world (picture of it in the blue ramekin). I totally recommend this establishment to anyone that is looking for anice relaxing atmosphere and a great selection of food and drinks. I will be most certainly be eating next time I visit. The big appetizer ?Barquito? (the Little Boat) was really good. Great service and fast wait staff. The manager came around... multiple times to check on us. Ordered multiple sushi roll plates. The Salmon-Nito, Salmon Rolls, and Avocado Rolls were verytasty. Will definitely be back for more great seafood. Nice atmosphere with lots of TVs to watch. Read more
Seafood is great. I don't usually do fried shrimp, but the breading on these shrimp was a perfect thickness (thin but thick... enough to be crispy) and seasoning. Grilled fish in their Diablo sauce was great also. Fish was flaky but a little bit of crisphere and there. Shrimp cocktail was a little bland though. Chips are awesome, but the salsas were more of a taco sauce and notreally what I'd want with chips. Read more
Great good, just a little pricey
