Reviews for Pueblo Viejo in Lapeer, MI
I?ve been here multiple times since they originally opened and the staff is always amazing! Our server was so nice and very... attentive. We were with our siblings and their daughter plus had our own two children (7yo and 1yo). The high chair they had wastop notch and made the biggest difference compared to the normal wooden high chairs that toddlers never stay in. It had its owngray and a place for his cup and it just made it so smooth when feeding. Our daughter and niece started getting bored whilewaiting for our food as kids do so we asked our waitress if they had any crayons and she brought out two bags with coloringbooks, pads of paper and other goodies with two BIG boxes of crayons. They were completely occupied the entire time. When itcame time to pay before she even handed our bills to us she double checked and realized that something was wrong and went backand fixed it without causing any hassle to us. She was fabulous. The whole experience was so easy and smooth! We love cominghere. Plus the food was so delicious! Read more
The food was good. The portions were big! The servers were friendly and super helpful. The atmosphere was nice and inviting.
The atmosphere and service were great! This is a small town restaurant that is primarily serving local residents. The food has... good flavor for Michigan, with the palates of Michiganders in mind. While the flavors might be "authentic" for some, they arenot truly authentic. Portion sizes are large, the food is HOT from the kitchen, and the staff are eager to please! Would Idrive 50 miles out of my way to eat there again? Probably not. Read more
Food was outstanding, service was polite and got everything correct, took a bit longer than normal to actually place an order... through. Edit: Stopped in just for the first time in too long for some fried ice cream. Really need to go back soon for regulareats. Everything they were bringing out looked great. Read more
The food was amazing. When you sit down, you get warm tortilla chips and salsa. The salsa is full of flavor, but I feel like it... could be a bit thicker. My waitress, I believe her name was Lexy, was so kind and friendly. She suggested food to me thatturned out to be the best I've had in a long time (chicken fajitas). I will be going back for a cold drink and warm food. Read more
My favorite Mexican restaurant in the area! Really great chips and salsa, salsa Verde and queso Blanco. I would assume the rest... of their menu is great but I always order the Pueblo Viejo Special. Their margaritas (frozen, on the rocks, flavored ..) arefantastic and i really like the beer options. They are short staffed as a lot of places are which is keeping their nice patioclosed but the staff they do have are very nice and efficient. Read more
Stopped in here recently, out of town looking for a place to eat and stumbled across Pueblo Viejo. The food here is pretty good,... fresh chips and salsa came right out when we were seated. Not very busy, the rice was a bit bland, but not terrible. Theatmosphere here is pretty nice, food came out quick. Girlfriend ordered shrimp fajitas and I ordered fried chicken tacos thatwere on special, the tacos were loaded with chicken, so much chicken that I could barely fold them. I'd definitely come back tothis place just to try out some other items, maybe grab a drink. The reason behind the 4 star rating is because the lack offlavor in the rice, my girlfriend didn't really get enough shrimp to fill her 3 fajitas, and it's up there in price compared tosome other Mexican restaurants in my hometown. Pueblo Viejo used to be great, now it leaves much to be desired. Food is fine, service is okay. Just over all pretty lack luster... with many other great Mexican places within 20 minutes. Read more
