My husband and I came for brunch. We wanted to go elsewhere but the wait was insane. We travel to New Orleans often and had seen... this place attending MEAT next door and were interested. We were thrilled to be seated right away. However, it was 18 minutesbefore our server greeted us. They weren?t very busy but seemed very short staffed. She apologized and told us as much. Weordered food and drinks. We said we usually go to MEAT next door and had been I interested in trying this place out. Our serversaid ?oh we don?t like MEAT, they?re our competition.? I thought that was very petty and unprofessional. I was a server for 17years and would never speak ill of another restaurant. Food was pretty good. It was a while before we could order another drinkand we saw another couple leave after not getting greeted in a timely manner. We MIGHT check it out again, but it won?t beanytime soon. Read more

My son chose this place for his birthday lunch and he, my daughter and I were quite happy here. The shrimp and grits was... positively addictive! The kids' burgers were pretty good even though they didn't offer a choice of how well done. Fries wereexcellent. Read more

Took our friends out to eat here and they have some of the best food I've ever eaten. Their fish and chips out do places that... charge $10-20 more for their entrees. I got pimento Mac and cheese, probably the best I've ever had. My friend got jambalayathat was absolutely stellar. The cocktails were just as good. Great place for drinks or food. Read more

Parking can be hard to get right out front but there?s a public parking lot less than a block away that is free after 6... pm! There is a very nice patio area to sit in as well. Our waitress was very attentive and nice. She checked back often and ourcups were filled constantly! Service was good. I ordered a side of red beans and rice and it was awful. The rice is seasonedwell but the rice wasn?t cooked it was hard! I mean literally not cooked. The waitress said that?s how they make it there???? itcould break your teeth it?s so hard. The cornbread is equally as awful. It?s so dry, hard and it was nearly served cold. I wouldnot recommend it. The French fries are very well season and tasty. The brioche bun was very good on my burger. The classicburger was nothing special but tasted okay. The Beignets were okay! Those are not the real ones but they will do. Overall Iwould not come back. Not worth spending any money on anything here. Read more

Pleasantly surprised doesn't begin to describe my experience at The Creole. I had lunch here with my daughters, and each of us... were so happy with the choice. I would highly recommend The Creole for the next time you want tasty things to travel down yourthroat. I had the olive burger: was amazing. My kids had a burger and a chicken sandwich, which looked great. Everything wasperfectly prepared and delivered happily by a very friendly waitress. We sat in the street seating area and enjoyed the cuteOld Town neighborhood. I'll be back again and again. Read more
