My husband ordered me a ground beef famous taco on Wednesday and it was chicken instead. I don't get home from work until 3 am... so nothing could be done that night. Thursday night he ordered me another one and specifically told them no tomatoes, asked theguy at the drive thru to check it and the guy opened the box and told him there were no tomatoes. He got it home and checked itand it was full of tomatoes. I am allergic. He called up there and they gave him a hard time about replacing it. They finallyagreed and when he got there they threw the new one on the counter and walked away without a word. Read more
Looks a little sketchy on the outside but the food is absolutely amazing and reasonably priced. The staff there are incredibly... hardworking and helpful. I even forgot my credit card and when I went back the lady at the counter remembered me and handed itback. Overall highly recommended. Read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. I waited in the driveway for 15 minutes and no one acknowledged me although the cashier looked at... me several times while waiting on other customers. So I came inside. They got my original order wrong. Then asked me to pickout the item I didn't order. I refused and asked for it to me made like I ordered it. I offered to pay the difference whichwas less than $1 on the menu. I went to get some change to pay and the cashier said $6 I was like for what? She then explainedthe prices changed and they forgot to tell me. I was fed up and decided not to eat there, I left but I forgot to get my refund.They didn't even mention it. We had talked for some time and they didn't even offer me my money back. If I wouldn't have wentback they would've keep my money. They are terrible. They could care less about the customer only the money we bring. Saveyour money and your time, go somewhere better than this. Read more
I like their food, but the service and attitude are poor. They put you on hold and forget you're there. People who work there... are snotty to customers. Basically they have so many customers they don't care. If they lose a customer, they have plenty more.I ordered a full order of nachos deluxe and they sent me a half order. I paid for a full order and asked them to send anotherhalf order and they agreed and never showed up. They messed up an order and told me I could get a free one the next time Iordered. Then they refused to honor it when I called them. Often they forget to put in the mild or hot sauce. Delivery oftentakes 2 to 3 hours. Read more
I don't normally give restaurants 5 stars, but I have to say Famous Taco deserves it. The famous taco was awesome, it was... massive and tasted so good, the enchiladas tasted just like my favorite place from my hometown and that sealed it for me. I willdefinitely keep coming back here! Read more

I have been ordering Famous Taco since the 90's when they had a place on Waverly and on Lake Lansing RD. and have loved their... food. Fast forward to recently my wife and I visited Famous and something was different that we couldn't put my fingers on. Although the food was still very good and portions were well worth their price something has changed besides the lack of some oftheir best entrees in my opinion. We noticed that the torts used to make the tacos and tostadas are different and they nolonger use the cheese that set them apart from other Mexican joints. It always melted perfectly and was the color similar toAmerican cheese slices. I still plan on frequenting the place when I'm in town, but their choice to use the same shreddedcheese that a lot of other places use is a disappointment. I'm hoping that this is just a temporary fix and they go back tomaking the best Mexican food in Lansing. Read more
