The food was ok I guess, I got the quesadillas and wasn't impressed but others at my table enjoyed theirs. The portions were... good especially the beef dip!! This place was very clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly and the food was awesome. Highly recommend. I had the fish... and chips, classic plate(adds side ceaser salad and half order of zoo sticks). The fish was perfectly done and they are, handsdown, one of the best places for fries. My friend had a chicken teriyaki donburi bowl and enjoyed it a lot as well. (Sheordered it despite being mildly allergic to teriyaki.) Afterwards when our waitress discovered this she was very attentiveasking if my friend needed anything to help. Even apologized when there was no way for her to have known. Been coming here for years, and while it had lost a step a while back, ever since the renovations it has gained them back and... then some. There?s no option for zero stars so one it is! Let me explain how my curbside pick up order went today: sat outside for 15... minutes after my order should have been ready, called the restaurant to see if they were running late. I was told that they infact did not have my order. After walking into the restaurant to see what happened I was told by the manager on duty (Glen) thatsometimes ordered get bumped to a different location?? very odd. But his solution is what was really strange, I was told that Icould call the other location and lie to get my money back; he told me a family emergency would maybe convince them to refund mymoney so that I could re order at Glens location. I was shocked that he refused to help me any further. I fully understand thattechnological issues happen all the time and all Glen needed to do was to offer to call the other location to explain mysituation so that I would have a better chance of a refund. But instead I got an explanation about how the restaurants arefranchised and he doesn?t get ?credit for the sale? if he reaches out on my behalf. I went for dinner with my mom and she had one of the chicken burgers and I had the legendary burgers with bacon, cheese,... mushrooms, lettuce and tomatoes and my god, my mom and I both agreed that these were the best white spot burgers we?ve EVER had.The cooks name is Rico, yes we asked. Service is usually great and food is always consistently good. Our go to items are the Mediterranean Chicken burger, Fish &... Chips (who would have thought?), White Spot Club and the beef dip. So when you go into White Spot, you expect great food, and great service. Now, over the year?s the food has improved (we used... to get Chicken, Broccoli and Cheese Curry served cold in the center). The menu is pretty standard. Burgers, Sandwiches, fishand chips (their club house is good!) with a few seasonal items thrown in (I miss my Buttermilk Chicken and Brie Sandwich :(). Where this location fails is the service. It?s not consistently bad, nor is it consistently good. It?s mediocre. So, youstart to debate whether or not you should complain, and that frustrates me. If it was bad all the time, I could easily complainin efforts to get management to fix it. If it was good, I?d eat there more. But the servers are not very attentive, and theyseem to be forcing happiness. I don?t know if this is due to bad management, or being overworked, but it?s noticeable. Otherthan that, it?s ok. Would I recommend eating there on a consistent basis? Not a chance. Would I say avoid it? No. Like theservice, it?s mediocre so it?s your call.
