The pizzas were delicious and the atmosphere is nice. The only thing that I didn't like was service because they didn't have... enough staff. We were asked to sit outside and they would take our order but they forgot that we were there so, after a while wehad to go inside to remind them that we were there. We had a good meal at The Mad Italian Pizza. This is a neighborhood pizza venue that takes the experience up a notch. The... pizza is a hand thrown thin crust in the European style, so if you're looking for the more common Chicago style deep dish thisis not for you. There were three of us and the pizza is individually sized. A meat lovers, a Hawaiian, and a vegitarian wereall sampled. The outside crust is excellent and a real treat. However, the middle of the pizza had crust that was still soggy. I think the pizza needed just a minute more in the oven. Flavor was delicious though and that's the most importantthing. Decor wise, the restaurant is currently refreshing. We were told a new owner is looking to create a more bar stylepizzeria. It is expected that some things will be needing attention before they finish. There was also a staffing shortagewhen we were there and that impacted the experience. None of these concerns are long term and should not be interpreted as alack of recommendation. It was clean and in good shape. Give it a try. The pizza with beer was a great combination. Amazing food and amazing service. Regrettably, the saddest fact of this entire situation is that we moved to this area over a... year ago, and this was our first experience with Mad Italian. The food was farm to table, as the waitress explained that theysource all of their ingredients locally. The drinks are also all local, as they choose local breweries to support. They havehappy hour every night after 8pm. You could taste the freshness of every bite, and left you feeling very satisfied at the end ofyour meal. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the faces inside were all smiles. If anyone is looking for a local place to eat Iwould hands down recommend this! Will definitely be going back. Read more

It?s hand made and you can really taste the quality, I highly recommend the chicken alfredo! The owner is so nice, he took thetime to chat with my friends and I, he?s super friendly and welcoming! Pizza was really tasty, the toppings were loaded on but it wasn?t too much. Crust was crisp on the outside and nice chewy... texture in the middle. Nice leopard spotting on the bottom and outer crust edge. It was also lightly drizzled with olive oil onthe bottom and the top. Staff was very friendly and the décor was tasteful. Also tried the margarita pizza as well as thepepperoni. For me the margarita is the benchmark of how good (or how bad) a pizza place is, and this margarita pizza was verygood. I shared it with an Italian friend that is a pizza fanatic and said it was one the best he had locally. Read more
