We came here for lunch because I've eaten here before and knew it was charming and my husband would like it. We ate outside and... they were out of several menu items from a busy Friday night. The back patio is very charming, some shade and some sun. Theservice was excellent and we enjoyed our food. I love the combo of vegetables being celebrated right next to meaty classics. Read more
I am using my husband's account to write this review. My friend and I went to lunch at the Harvest House today, October 4th... 2022. My friend had been before and recommended it. We walked in and seated ourselves at the last table on the right side, bythe window. The first wait staff came to take our drink order and we both ordered water with lemon. She came back with thewater with lemon. No problem so far. Then another person, a female wait staff took our order for food and was "snappy", with anattitude. When she brought back our food she threw it on the table without a word and left. We ate and then she came back andthrew our check on the table, again with no word. She left our table and went directly to another table where she asked them ifthey were enjoying their food and if they would like dessert. The contrast between the treatment was glaring. My friend and Iwere puzzled. We had no idea what we did to anger this person, and still don't. If she had asked me if I was enjoying thelunch, I would have told her it was simply delicious. I ordered the salmon salad with fresh spinach leaves and a honey mustarddressing and the salmon was cooked perfectly. I would have given the Harvest House a five star rating, but because the the rudetreatment I am giving it a two star. This is how much it ruined our enjoyment. Will I go back again? Maybe. Maybe not. I had really high hopes for this restaurant but was disappointed by the service. The waitress was not friendly at all, I don?t... think she smiled or showed any positive emotion to make us feel welcome :/ simple ?thank you?s and smiles go such a long way. Wewere able to be seated immediately, which was nice, but had to wait an HOUR on our food from the time we ordered and weren?toffered any bread, snacks, etc for the wait. Otherwise, the food was unique and pretty good, if the waitress would have beennicer I would have had an even better impression of the food but she kind of ruined entire experience. Read more
Small and cute restaurant. Food was good and tasty. I am so glad that my friend was there to join me for lunch. Unfortunately,... there was a older lady working there who wasn?t pleasant at all. She seemed to NOT like her job. She never smiled. She isdefinitely not the kind of person who should be working in a restaurant setting. Read more
The food was good and the place was clean though my table was a bit dirty. The restroom was spacious and clean and the dining... room had plenty of seating. For a Friday night it was almost empty, which was strange because almost every restaurant I past wasfull and had people waiting. The time it took to get two appetizers was a bit lengthy but overall things were ok. Read more
Love this place, looks like a sort of hole in the wall, but the chef works with fresh local sourced produce & meats. I tried to... take a picture of my plate, but my phone died. They offer surprisingly good wines also! Update: yesterday for lunch, it was apimento cheese extravaganza! Shared pimento cheese fries (think bacon, carmelized onions, balsamic reduction.) And then thepimento cheese fried green tomatoes tower. Amy got the Wipeout Salad , brie, pineapple an other goodies over spinach. So good! Read more
