A lot of people I work with were raving about this place and I finally decided to give it a try. It was worth the hype. The... atmosphere is very calm and relaxing. Ordered Sesame Chicken. A side order of fried rice accompanied the dish. The glaze on the chicken had somewhat of an aftertaste,... but it's been awhile since I ordered Chinese, especially from here. Interestingly enough, I could not eat the entire portion (itwas a generous serving like years prior), so I asked for it to be packed up. They did, but used the smallest takeout container,leaving me with only the chicken. They did not include the fried rice, which was good. Go figure. ???? Still the best Chinese food restaurant in Lancaster County and personally I'd argue the region. We have been going here since... the 1980s and its as great now as it was 30+ years ago. Reasonably priced for the high quality of food & service. The staff isso friendly. They actually box up your leftovers to take home, very few restaurants do that anymore. Trust me their servingsizes, even for lunch, may require you to take home leftovers. We have spent many birthdays here for lunch and dinner. On ourlast visit we were celebrating two of our childrens' birthdays and our waiter offered to take our family picture in front oftheir beautiful Chinese mural. Hong Kong Garden is the best! We came in from out of town and decided to check out Hong Kong Garden for dinner. This was one of the highest rated restaurants... around for a good reason! The service and hospitality were great. Everything I've had here has been delicious. They are very accommodating when asking for food to be gluten free as well, and... really understand what they need to leave out or substitute to make that happen. The chef's special ginger salmon is the mostdelicious salmon preparation I've ever had and is my all around favorite thing to get there. If they sold the broth it's servedwith by the quart, I'd order it and drink it as soup. It's just so good. The owner is such a genuinely friendly guy as well andthe service has always been friendly and thorough. Definitely worth a trip! Read more
