Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect. But.....best meal! Lemon orzo soup was outstanding. Greek salad was to doe for. Fresh,... beautiful...dressing was amazing!!!! Grape leaves were very tasty. Greek chili was different but tasty and the crab dip wasdelicious. Actually recommended the Conestoga to a few friends who frequently go to Lancaster. So good.....try to go. You won'tbe disappointed. I can say that that there was nothing wrong with the place. The location is quite nice and had the weather been better and had... we been able to sit outside on the deck, overlooking the river, my overall impression may have been higher. The food was good,the service was good, the price didn't seem outlandish, but nothing really jumped out at me. One off-putting thing, which mayhave put my rating a bit lower was the TV screens all around the dining rooms. Not my kind of dining. I found itdistracting--but that's just me. Read more
Nice atmosphere, Great food, different vibe. Went the other day with a friend who grabbed a burger. I was expecting Americana by... the name, but was surprised with Greek once I took a look over the menu. I had the Gyro platter for something different, and waspleasantly surprised with some awesome food. Everything was fresh and the Tzatziki sauce was very refreshing. Everything cameout great and our server was doing the best she could. The server was also the bartender and balancing the two wasn't easy onher, but she did good. I hope this place can keep it up! Often overlooked because it's been around for so long. It wasn't part of the recent blume of places opening in the last 15... years. But the Conestoga has been offering modestly priced amazing food with great drinks for decades now. I remember whenLancaster county had 1000 diners a few chains like 3 places worth eating at. The Conestoga has stood the test of time you shouldcheck it out. Read more
This is only kind of a review for the Conestoga as a restaurant oh, it's mostly a review for the Conestoga as a venue. I had the... rapturous Delight of attending the Vixxen Drag Brunch. The food was, okay. It all needed more seasoning oh, except the waffleswhich for exceptional I could be eaten by themselves. The service was fantastic though oh, we had a server who was blessed withan incredible smile oh, and took care of us without getting in the way of the show that was always there when we neededsomething. Good Mediterranean food. Really liked the fusion of Philly cheesesteak egg rolls! Highly recommend.
