Chose here over Pilot for 34 reset. Got shower stuff and laundry all packed up and went in. Damn the luck. Showers and laundry... both down for a month to remodel. Minus 1 star for no signs saying such. At least I'll have great food for 34hrs, since time ranout while fiddle farting with laundry/shower prep. Next stop Walmart where I'm sure to get in line behind the 250 couponholder. Read more
Sad State of an AmBest truck stop. Out of all of the stars ive given, never given anything below a 4 star rating. I originally... just made a brief stop to use the restroom and grab some lunch at the Restaurant. Pulling into this place it is definately inneedbof some "TLC" and updating. At first it resembles an abandoned truck stop. The signs were broken and missing only a fewtrucks out back. Asni walked up he sign on the door read, "Restaurant Closed for cleaning" that spoke volumes since ive onlyseen them closed due to lack of employees. Well no lunch, and out of 4 entrances into this place, only 1 entrance could beused. Even the temperature inside the store was not comfortable, it was very stuffy warm. As far as he restroom business wasconcerned, yeah... that would wait for he place around the corner. Hopefully hings turn around here soon. This place has gone to s**#. New Owners are sneaky. Restaurant only open to 9pm yet advertises 24 hours. Owner walks around... spying on workers. Family members walk around videoing patrons and workers. None speak English if very little. Waitress wasAMAZING despite all that. We were very uncomfortable being looked at like criminals and being recorded. So if you come here beprepared. Food was ok. FAR from What it used to be. I don?t know how this place is still open. With the other truck stops in town having better fuel prices and better food. They... get an additional star because the waitresses do their best. The food is terrible. Badly cooked and badly seasoned. You?ll waitseveral minutes to pay, so don?t wait until the last minute to leave if you need to get somewhere. Read more
The air conditioning was NOT working in the restaurant. The food on the buffet was not the correct temperature. The servers... would stand in front of the fans and complain about the heat. The flies were awful. The women's restroom had NO toilet paper.Definitely not the place to stop and eat if you want a COOL place to enjoy a decent meal. We will not be back. Read more
The fact that you can find a parking spot even at 0300 makes it all worth it. Restaurant was okay. I?ve had better and I?ve... definitely had worse. Restrooms were nasty. But again?. I?ve seen better and I?ve definitely seen worse. All in all, I wouldreturn. Read more
This is a good place to rest from the road. There are a few items on the shelves that are not consistent with a big convenience... chain. Interesting specialties from Mexico and small businesses. I didn't have as long as I thought and didn't make it all theway back to the restaurant. I didn't even know it was there until I went to the bathrooms and saw the signs for the restaurant.The was a little arcade. The bathrooms were clean and functional. Read more
Used to be a good stop...no more, the owners refuse to keep up maintenance on it, the restaurant was good. But the store part... was extremely overpriced and outdated....this is no longer a "mom and pop" truck stop, it's a disgrace what these present ownershave allowed to happen to this once before great stop.
