Zesty\'s has great food, but the best part of zesty\'s has got to be their wait staff. We ended up going there two nights in a... row just because the waitress we had the first night was so much fun that we decided to go back again. Read more

We went here for the first time yesterday, Wednesday 11/16/22 at 4:30om. We made a reservation as suggested by the other... reviews, but it wasn\'t necessary. There were very few people in the restaurant at that time and there is a LOT of seating. Wewere surprised how big the restaurant was!\n\nAlvin was our server and he was very attentive, kind and friendly. He suggested wegot for the mild spicy level with the lemon pepper flavoring and it was just right.\n\nWe shared Combo D and onion rings as anappetizer. Combo D was enough food for the two of us, we left comfortably full.\n\nEverything in our meal was hot and DELICIOUS.Crab legs, shrimp, lobster, red potatoes and corn on the cob. The shrimp does come with the shell on. You\'ll need to peel themto eat them, but they are easy to peel. And each person is provided a tray with several tools, to ensure you\'re able to getinto your food.\n\nThe tool tray also comes with a bib. Please note there are a pair of gloves inside the bib! Mine fell on thefloor because of how I opened the bib. Alvin noticed and brought me a new pair. I didn\'t end up using them, but I will nexttime. It\'s definitely a hands on, messy experience. They also provide hand wipes, and napkins at the table.\n\nWe didn\'t orderdessert but I did see they have three cakes and cheesecake on the dessert menu. The carrot cake contains walnuts.\n\nThebathrooms are gendered, and located at the front by the check in counter. The stalls aside from the handicap stall in thewomen\'s restroom are very small. But the bathroom was clean, well stocked and roomy as far as counters and mirrors go.\n\nTherestaurant decor is beach/ocean themed and not cluttered. There are several TVs but no overhead music/noise making it hard tohear your party.\n\nWe will definitely be back! Read more

Hubby and I went there on a Friday evening for an early dinner. Staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming. Alvin was our server... and he was such a pleasure to have as our server. He was friendly and attentive. The food came out quickly and was hot andfresh! We had the clam chowder and the lobster bisque and both flavorful. Hubby and I decided to have the cat fish basket withthe Cajun fries. Cat fish was delicious and crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside and real tasty flavor. Cajun frieswere tasty too. Overall, a nice place to eat and friendly staff and servers. Worth coming back and trying some more of theiritems on the menu! Read more

We were in Tacoma from Wisconsin visiting our Daughter and drove past Zesty a couple times - we like to eat at local places... rather than chains whenever possible. Alvin was our server and he was sweet and personable, explaining the menu to us makingsure he knew exactly what we wanted. He was prompt with our beverages and flatware. As we waited Max Lee introduced himself tous and thanked us for choosing his newly opened restaurant. We made some small talk and discovered we both have Wisconsin roots!Max was charming and tried to convince us to escape the brutal Wisconsin winters for the beautiful Washington temperatures -introducing us to several of his friends on staff who also left Wisconsin! (Nice try Max - perhaps at a later date - but I’llcontact you about your sister’s restaurant back home and perhaps can compare venues!)I had the Flame Grilled Sirloin whichwas deliciously seasoned and perfectly grilled to my requested medium rare, along with grilled asparagus which were tender crispwonderful and mashed red potatoes. My wife had Flame Grilled garlic shrimp over fried rice which were hot and pink and moist, not over cooked and rubbery, and more of the wonderful grilled asparagus. Our daughter had Deep Fried Catfish with Cajun fries, she had never had catfish before (I love it) and wasn’t disappointed - the fish were crisp on the outside but still moist onthe inside, and she loved the zippy Cajun fries. We took a molten lava cake to go and enjoyed it back in our room. I’m sureit’s better hot served fresh, and the caramel center was a wonderful surprise!\n\nAll in all we really enjoyed our experience- the bar area had a large contingent enjoying the Philly/Astro game as well, so it seems everyone was enjoying the atmosphere. My husband & I have been here 3 times. Our experience the 1st time wasn\'t a positive experience, however they had only been... open for a short amount of time. We are extremely pleased that we chose to give Zestys another try. Our shrimp, crab & lobsterwas amazing both times. We ordered no spices, w/ garlic butter. The garlic gives the food a slight zing, eventhough our serverstated that would not be the case. The lack of spice w/ zing from the garlic butter was perfect for our liking - very tasty! Thecorn on the cob was overcooked, but still good. The potato wasn\'t cooked long enough, but it didnt matter, we still enjoyedour food . We had the blue Hawaiian drink which was also very good. You could actually taste the alcohol , which isn\'t alwaysthe case. The service was good, still have details to work out & they could definitely improve however they are visibly trying& they are still a new establishment so you have to take that all into consideration. Prices are above average, but worth it imo. There are several tvs, during seahawks games is very loud- almost too loud if your not fan of football( Hockey fan here) There is lots of parking available We had 2 very pleasant dining experiences- Delicous! I was so excited and then disappointed at the same time. What an oily meal!\n\nPros: Friendly customer service, not too crowded... on Sunday\nCons: here the story begins and we are not super picky eaters\n- Appetizers: chicken wings were extremely tiny, asleast crunchy.\n- Entree: Terrible and tasteless fried catfish.\nThe flour was too hard, thick and greasy. My hubby couldn\'tfinish it, he only ate the meat inside and left all the flour. Fish was fresh but...no seasoned.\nCajun fries was unbearablegreasy! The waiter happily changed it to normal fries when we asked. But it wasnt restaurant level, I don\'t wanna be rude, itwas even worse the fast food fries.\nLobster bisque was pretty watery.\n\nSo....the new seafood restaurant in the town need lotsof improvement. I am not sure if I will go back to try Cajun even though I wanna support local business so much. :( Sadly! Read more
