Such a hit or miss experience here sometimes food is so good perfect flavors others is over or under done. Way too much salt... used imo. Today my partner did the meal to bring home for dinner and it just was not up to the last experience. Everything I hadwas overly salted except the deviled eggs. Green beans are usually a hit and today they were barely cooked. Some consistencywould be nice. It really has been a half and half experience for us. Staff is always friendly when we have come in so that makesup for some. It is hard to support local establishments when there are so many inconsistencies in food flavor and quality. I ate2 deviled eggs 2 green beans 2 bites of mashed potatoes and a spoonful of the vegetarian gravy as I couldn't even bring myselfto try the veggie meatballs. I ended up eating cereal for dinner. My daughter and partner enjoyed the meat meatballs I think theregular chicken apple and turkey. Be warned in inconsistencies but give a fair chance to this local biz. The meatballs are TASTY! I had the Manic meal with meatballs, brown gravy over herb rice, and two sides: fresh, sauteed... greenbeans with a little pepper, and a really unique & tasty pickled coleslaw. I've tried two additional sides as well. The mac& cheese is excellent, and they mixed the creamy cheese sauce and large shell noodles right in front of me. The cucumber saladis another interesting pickled invention, but not nearly as tasty as the coleslaw. Read more

Manic Meatballs ?????????? On 9/15/22, I visited? Manic? Meatballs in Lakewood, Washington for the first time. Located in a... former bank near Joint?? Base Lewis-McChord?, this business offers a 10% military discount. This business opened in lateDecember 2020. Owner Carrie Stalder?s husband is of Swedish descent. Accustomed to making Swedish meatballs and delicious sidedishes for large groups of people over the years, Carrie and her husband were often told ?We wish we could buy these.????Recognizing the need for quick, healthy, homemade, affordable family meals, the Stalders decided to ?give it a go. This was myfirst time trying real Swedish meatballs.?? The experience far exceeded my expectations. I can?t imagine ever driving anywhereclose to Lakewood, Washington and not stopping at Manic Meatballs. Seriously, it was that good! I ordered a??? Manic Meal($14.50), which consists of six meatballs over mashed potatoes, egg noodles or rice, with two sides. Meatball options aretraditional Swedish meatballs made of pork and beef served with a homemade brown gravy,? Chicken-Apple meatballs with a creamyhomemade gravy, or? Impossible meatballs with a vegan gluten-free brown gravy?. I chose the traditional Swedish meatballs andmashed potatoes, but asked if one of my six meatballs could be Chicken-Apple so I could try them. They kindly accommodated myrequest.???? ?For my sides, I chose? Green Beans and Shells & Cheese. I also ordered a small side of everything else except theSeashore Fries. The additional sides ($3 each) were: Cucumber Salad,?? Coleslaw,? Baked Beans, Deviled Eggs, andApplesauce.?? The meatballs were generous in size and delicious, as were the homemade mashed potatoes and gravy. TheChicken-Apple meatballs were very good but my personal favorite or the traditional Swedish pork and beef meatballs. I couldn?tbelieve how good the mashed potatoes were. The Green Beans were fresh vegetables that had been perfectly cooked and seasoned. They were d Read more

I see the sign for this restaurant every time I drive by on I5 and we decided to give it a go. I had the full size meal over egg... noodles, (not double), with coleslaw and green beans as my sides and Kathie had the half portion with cucumber salad. We bothenjoyed the sides more than the classic pork/beef meatballs with brown sauce, but Gabriel the dog was happy to finish what wedid not eat. I am going to go again and do the half classic meatball, half chicken apple. Sizable portions. We got take away, there is an outdoor dining table. We ate our food at Harry Todd park on American Lake that is only a half mile away. Read more

Excellent customer service, less-than-mediocre food. The employees were friendly and accommodating, which made the food that... much more disappointing. The meatballs were generally bland, though the bacon helped b/c bacon makes everything better. Thebrown gravy was sauce-packet quality at best. Generally very disappointing and definitely NOT worth the over-inflated price tag.$35 for 2.5 meals, I would expect fresh gravy or at least better lighting for the drive thru (sketch doesn't even begin to coverit). EDIT: Very impressed by how responsive the owner is. Based on their response, it's possible I caught them on an off day. Will have to try again in the future. Read more

Huge portions of savory swedish... meatballs..egg noodles were buttered???? and the mashed potatoes were fluffy cloud of magic. Cucumber salad was light andflavorful. Super friendly staff, super clean. Going back, especially because I couldn't fit the homemade warm applesauce inthis time. Read more

I saw this pop up when searching for a lunch spot one day and knew I had to try it. After some errands and delving into near... hanger, my husband and I agreed to try this place for take out. We walked in the door and were instantly greeted with friendlyhellos and offers to explain how it works. We both order manic meals. He chose only traditional manic meatballs with mashedpotatoes, mac & cheese, and deviled eggs. I got 3 manic meatballs and three bacon wrapped with mashed potatoes, coleslaw andfries. We drove home with the goods after snacking on the fries in the car (which looked like steak fries are but aresurprisingly thin and well seasoned!). There was some jostling in car that caused my coleslaw juice to leak purple every wherebut no harm to taste was caused. All the food was so delicious!! The only thing I wasn?t a huge fan of was how vinegary thecoleslaw was. I still ate most of it but I prefer my coleslaw on the creamier side. Would highly recommend this place!! Read more

We don?t live too far from here and always wanted to try it but put it off for awhile since my husband isn?t a meatball kind of... guy. He ordered what basically is poutine, don?t know what they call it and don?t have a picture, it?s not too bad. Fries were alittle over cooked. I had the bacon wrapped meatballs. They first two were great and then I couldn?t eat anymore, it just toomuch of the inside meat for me. The eggs were great and not super thick. The beans were good, minus the white bean they used, Ithink it?s a chickpea?? I don?t know, not a chickpea fan. Potatoes have a ton of flavor and their gravy is delicious. Kiddo hadjust their standard meatballs with Mac n cheese. I?m not a fan of their regular meatballs and the Mac n cheese had zero cheeseon it. Eat the food fast because it seems the taste depreciates as it gets cold. Read more
