Reviews for Taste of Denmark in Lakewood, CO
This was a great find!!! A true European style bakery with lots of amazing options and flavors. This is my new favorite bakery... in the entire Denver area and worth driving across town for. I was there late in the day and they still had a ton of inventory. Read more
Absolutely Amazing. It doesn?t get any fresher than this. You can tell that it starts with fresh quality ingredients when you... taste them. You know there fresh when you walk in the door and see fresh pastries coming out of the kitchen. The raisin cinnamonroll was amazing, and the danishes had the freshest fruit filling. I highly recommend Taste of Denmark and they open early! Read more
Just got back from a fabulous trip to Denmark not too long ago and finding this little gem in the random middle of Denver on my... most recent trip here was the best surprise EVER!!!! Asked the owner's son what his favorite ones were in the showcase and ofcourse had to grab one of each that he recommended. Guys, literally, every piece of pastry and cookie in that bakery box wasdelicious and worth every calorie consumed. I liked that it was none of the baked goods were not American style crazy sweet butjust sweet enough like the Danes do it! Eat local! Support local! Read more
Probably thee best Napoleon I have ever eaten. The apricot cookies were divine, and I got the cinnamon loaf for my son, which... was tasty. Because it?s a ?loaf?, and not a roll, not as soft as I?m used to, but maybe I should warm it up a little. Still verygood. Very busy bakery, will definitely go again! Read more
A few weeks ago my brother surprised the family with a half dozen white boxes from Taste of Denmark at brunch. None of the rest... of us had ever heard of this bakery before, but boy were we in for a treat! We decided to cut up the pastries so we could samplemore. Every single thing I tried was mouthwatering and delicious. I was especially impressed by their custard filling as well asthe whipped cream because both were REAL- no cheap corner cutting here! The fruit filled danishes were also to die for. We endedup with left over pastry that we ate for breakfast 2 days later and it held up remarkably well. Of course it was best on day onebut most places? pastry is rough by the next day. Yesterday morning my husband and I packed our family up early (we?d heardTaste of Denmark can get super busy and have long lines) and picked up a box of treats which we took across the street toKendrick Lake Park for a chilly breakfast picnic. Once again, everything was amazing- particularly the Napoleon ????. Only twonegatives to this place: 1. They?re a bit of a drive from my house 2. They?re totally spoiled pastries from anywhere else forus!! Read more
Decided to try this place after a long time. Very cute shop. The staff was very helpful. Went today(Saturday) and it was very... busy. They only allow 7 people at a time in the store because of Covid. They have outside seating you can use. We got theirbiggest box and went a bit crazy lol. Ordered 9 different pastries to try. They were all tasty. They are big in size. Notminiature pastry. Very good size to share. Definitely recommend this place to anyone. Read more
