We decided to give this place a try and were VERY impressed. Very skilled pizza makers and servers, it looks like they time the... pizza to perfection with each pie, sweet and spicy marinara, excellent quality mozzarella, and the crust is perfection- Chewy,light and crispy at the end with a superb crunch. I had fine service, no knock there at all. I got the Italian hero and, for me, it left something to be desired. My preference is... to have softer, chewier bread. The bread on the sandwich was quite crispy on the outside, very flaky. Good bread is important tome if I'm going to be paying that much for a sandwich. I also thought the ratios on the sandwich were not great; it was almostall meat, very little lettuce. Gotta have good ratios. I also did not get a pickle spear on the side as promised on the menu.With that said, I thought the quality of the meat was excellent. Very thin sliced and you could tell it was great meat. Fantastic!! We were looking for a classic deli sandwich with good bread comparable to what we are used to on the east... coast. Discovering Deli Italia was a HOMERUN!! From the moment we walked in we knew this was the place. The staff is sofriendly. The food was amazing! It tasted like home. The family next to us commented more than once on how good their pizzawas. I think it's under new ownership since last time I visited as they now have a full bar and have added pizza options. I stopped... for a sandwich and ordered the chicken parm. It comes in two sizes - 5" or 8". I was hungry so I got the 8" expecting mediocrityand not realizing that it is ginormous! Take a look at the pics. I'm not exaggerating. It came with a very generous amount ofwell seasoned breaded chicken, melted motz, and as you know me, the bread is what makes any sandwich! I had to ask foradditional marinara because they litterly give you a ramekin that has two tablespoons of sauce! insulting! This sandwich criesto be drenched but I was too embarrassed to keep going up and asking for more, more, more. I paid the additional $3 for theside salad and was pleased I did. It came with plenty of multi-colored cherry tomatoes, red onion, pickle, cucumber, and qualitygreens. Lunch was delicious and the service is very good as they check on you often. Read more
Since moving into the area Deli Italia is one of my favorite places! A true chicken cutlet sub!!! Pizza and sandwiches are... delicious; the marinara sauce is what I crave though! They have a nice little bar and the staff is always so friendly! If you?relooking for a classic Italian deli this is not one to miss. Read more

This was my first time here after learning about them through the Denver Post pizza bracket in early 2021. The house salad was... delicious and the 9? sausage and ricotta was perfect for two people. The crust is THE BEST. The staff and cooks are all great;the wait time was perfect for quick sit down service. The beer selection is nice, with local taps like WestFax. This used to be a little hike in the wall Italian Deli with specialty foods, now it's a full blown restaurant with some of the... best pizza in town. The Deli is still there, don't worry, but now there's a bar and tables so you can stay and enjoy thedeliciousness!! Staff was friendly and service was attentive. Food was great.
