I've been eating here for 20 years, the food is such glorious happiness in my mouth! The Best Onion Rings, you're not going to... find better, I promise. Try the Pizza Puffs, because I guess they're hard to find outside of Chicago, and they're awesome. Thinkof Pizza Pockets, but not all dough. They are all filling and yumminess. The Best Vienna Beef sandwiches around.. seriously. Youcan't miss with the Chicago Style Hot Dogs either. Customers are loyal, and there's multiple good reasons for that. Read more

Ordered a Chicago beef hot dog, got some soggy philly looking sandwich. Flavor was muted, bread was soaked through and fell... apart immediately. Have returned twice now to try the actual hot dog, and have not been served after waiting several minutes togive my order. Won't be trying again. Too bad, like the atmosphere and to shop locally, but can't overlook a lack of quality, service and correct order placement. Response to Owner: I asked for a Chicago Beef Hot Dog. Doesn't seem like that would be toodifficult for a place that's called Chicago Style Beef and Dogs. I don't appreciate the insinuation that me receiving anincorrect order is somehow my fault. I also can't help but notice you didn't address the two times I returned and was not evengreeted after several minutes waiting. Why make a sandwich if it's going to come out as soggy and formless? Why not just put allthe ingredients, bread and all, in a blender and serve it with a straw? Seems like that would expedite things, and would be thesame quality as what I received. Amazing that the owner of a business can't own up to their own mistakes and tries to pass itoff on the consumer for ordering incorrectly. Excellent customer service, you've really convinced me with your sarcasm, attitudeand random quote to never darken your door again. Thank you. Read more

Come for the food, stay for the nostalgia. This place does not eff around. It's Chicago style and if you don't like it, go... somewhere else. Get your hot beef (wet!) or a combo with sausage, fine gyros, your perfect dogs (without ketchup you heathens)and don't skip the best fries in town (the seasoned salt makes them too good!) Read more

I had low expectations but this place was somehow worse. Service sucked and food was freezer meal level at best. The food is... clearly microwaved as you can see them microwave in the kitchen. The women taking orders is hard of hearing and compensates byjust yelling at customers. Also the process of how you order is confusing. Once we paid I had no clue if we waited up front orthey brought it to the table. I went with waiting by the pick up order window and once the food was ready the lady who took ourorder said a rude comment about how I was waiting. Food wise we got the egg plant sandwich, hot dogs, and cheesy fries. Foodwas flavored bc it was salty but it was clearly reheated in a microwave. Read more

Folks that are comparing this to a Portillo?s are not doing a good job. I had a buddy recommend this place for the best Italian... Beef but I think it would be more towards the bottom for me. I had the Italian Beef and a Chicago Dog both were just ok and notgood enough that I would return. The beef was rather bland and the dip was about the same and the Chicago Dog came out nonsteamed with a slightly crusty bun and a luke warm dog on the inside. Read more

First time I've been here. Considering I've lived in Denver for 23 years or so, that's a shame. This place was great. Familiar... smells reminiscent of a ballgame or that enticing smell of food at a festival. My Sandwich was big and delicious from firstbite to the last. Food isn't low fat so if you are trying to lose weight, still come, just do the half order. Read more
