Came in to eat with my fiance and his uncle. We were seated as soon as we walked in, and our drinks were brought to us just as... quickly. The food took a little but of extra time getting to us, but the restaurant was decently busy, so it's understandable.Our waitress was very kind and attentive, without being one of those who badger you while you eat. She just popped in for acouple of brief seconds here and there to make sure our drinks were filled and everything was to our liking, withoutinterrupting our conversation at the table. All in all, I'd definitely recommend this diner to family and friends. Read more
Great food! I just wish they'd close for one day and deep clean the place. Its getting pretty nasty looking.
I often eat here when driving through Lakeview. The food is ok but not great and the prices are ok. The building and interior... should be remodeled and cleaned up and they would get more stars. Read more

The best eggs Benedict we've had in years! The service was good. There needs to be some serious cleaning, inside and outside.... One of the bathrooms doesn't have light but they offer a flashlight, "upon request"... Big no-no for safety and such an easyfix. Sweeping out front and emptying the ashtray (or getting rid of the ashtray) would make a big difference. The sign ismissing the J...really that is the first impression on maintenance or lack thereof. Cute diner with nostalgic vibe. Server was okay not friendly and no smile, she did not greet us in any way. She did offer us 2nd... cup of coffee. Husband ordered chorizo scramble w/hashbrowns and I had "homemade" corned beef w/ cubed fried potatoes that werevery crisp and nice to eat; my over medium eggs were hard cooked. I asked before ordering if it was home made and was told yes.It felt and looked just like the canned with the tiny cubed potatoes in it. This breakfast was not greasy no extra oil left onthe plate. We ordered sourdough for our toast and received 1 slice of bread cut in half. Second restaurant in this town servedtoast this way. This restaurant prices are a little higher than average at $24 not including tip. Read more
Very short staffed. 3 cooks and only 1 waitress with no bus help. Food should've been good but was cold due to understaffing. ... Will try again later to see if lack of staffing was a fluke or mismanagement. Read more
