The food here is amazing but it?s such a bummer that only platinum or diamond members can dine here now

Not worth the price. I took my team out for dinner on Friday night Dec 13th and wanted to treat them to some place nice as a... holiday dinner. There were 6 of us and the food was relatively good but the service was horrible. My wife ordered the rib eyewell done and it came out very bloody. When we told our server it was supposed to be well he took it back and said they wouldcook it longer. It came back not as bloody but still red in the middle. We ended up asking a different server to take it back. The 3rd time it was ok. Our server apologized saying he thought she said medium. So she ended up eating alone as everyone wasfinished before she got her plate back. 2 things really stuck with me. First - they just recooked the original steak 2 times,as she had cut it in the middle to check it, so when she got it back it was still cut in the middle. You would think they wouldcook a new steak to ensure all of the juices were sealed. Especially for the price we were paying. Second - it was really theirerror and they did nothing to compensate for the error. We all were trying to have a great night but it was ruined for hersince she had to wait while everyone else was eating. No discount, no free desert, nothing only an apology from our server. Thecost came out to 475.00 with a 80.00 included gratuity which was way too much for the service we got. If the tip would have beenoptional I would have stiffed the server for not offering anything in return for the poor service. So here is my suggestion as Iam a frequent patron of Barona and I am so disappointed with this visit. Don't waste your time or money on this place. Goupstairs to Sage. We have never been disappointed there and the service is fantastic. The Steaks are awesome the service is topnotch and the price is half the cost. I hope the management sees this post as I feel if you pay relatively 50 to 60 dollars perplate the experience, service and food should be perfect. Read more

Not impressed with this places food. I know what good wagyu tastes like and their food did not wow me at all. Their lobster was... chewy and their steak was full of fat. I wasn?t impressed only reason why they?re getting one star is because I enjoyed theirmashed potatoes. Everything else we ate we were not pleased with. I had chunks and veins of fat inside my steak not on theoutside it was disgusting I couldn?t eat it. I always eat steak and it never has that much fat in it. I also wasn?t impressedwith this dessert menu the two desserts we wanted they said they were out of. I would never come back and eat here!! Read more

I have to eat here once in a while just to remind myself of what a top of line steak tastes like. Perfect steak, perfect drinks,... perfect service. Not as pricey as you would expect. What more could you ask for? Read more

Very good service and food except the steak. Both the Dry-aged New York Strip and the 14 Oz Ribeye were on the salty side. Staff... very attentive yet unobtrusive. Live piano is a nice touch too. Read more

I use to love this restaurant, they have great ambience and service. The last past year I have noticed the quality of the food... going down. I had dinner there last week and was very disappointed. The food is very pricey and now it taste like it comesstraight out of the buffet, The king crab legs cost $50 a pound and they were the exact same ones out of the buffet. Theoysters were not fresh my steak was a special hi-end cut and it tasted like it had freezer burn. Very disappointing and I'm notsure I will visit this place anytime again soon. Read more
