Wonderful experience, amazing food, terrific service. We were a bit worried at first since there were a few parties, including... one of 70 people. Food did take a bit longer than we hoped which would be expected with the huge party. The staff and foodmore than made up for it! Dinner with my parents here was disappointing. My father?s and my own first pick was not being served, it was well after the... appetizer had arrived before I was informed that my dinner was not available and had to pick some thing else. I picked somethingelse from the menu and was again disappointed. The use of liquid smoke and barbecue sauce should not be happening at any goodbarbecue restaurant. Service was very slow for 7 pm on a Saturday night. The only plus to this dinner was toward the end whenanother diner was celebrating their birthday and the staff came out to sing and put a buffalo hat on him. That was kind offunny! Read more

Great food! Seriously delicious! Only thought about rating a 4 because our server was really rough! She was newer, so I guess... still learning but.... wine took 20 min., my kids order was completely wrong, wrong soft drinks...To make up for it though, themanager(owner?) was fabulous. My husband and I joined a couple for the first time here. We had a great time and a delicious meal! We had the Friday fish fry.... Two very generous pieces of perfectly done fish with coleslaw and French fries. We also tasted our friends calamari which was perfectly prepared. The price was very reasonable for the quantity and quality of the meals. We met the owner, who was workinghard on the floor, because like everyone else these days (2022), the restaurant is short-staffed. However the servers and ownerhustled, in order to keep their customers happy. They were all so friendly, too. The whole experience was a big positive. Isuggest making reservations for the fish fry as it's very popular! I definitely recommend this restaurant for the Westernambiance experience, and food! Read more

My fiancé and I were in town a few days last week to get out of the Phoenix Heat. We absolutely love to find the best local... restaurants whenever we go somewhere. We hit the nail on the head when we found and chose this establishment. The service andfood was incredible. So much so that we made a reservation for the following evening after our first visit. We had the sameserver both evening and he was knowledgeable, friendly and just overall welcoming and kind. To top that off the food isexcellent! We both ordered different things on both occasions and have not one complaint. Everything was delicious. What madeour experience even better was the owner Scott came and spoke with us both evenings. Such a kind man that has given his heart tothis restaurant and it shows in both service and food. The only thing that could be better is if this restaurant was closer tohome because it would definitely be one of our places that we frequent. We hadn't been to this restaurant since it changed to The Hungry Buffalo...which tells you we haven't been out to eat much in... the past few years! The hostess was friendly, the drinks were strong (that's a good thing!), and the food was great. I'm abourbon/whiskey drinker and they have a huge selection. We had the meals that had a combination of mac & cheese and burnt ends.It was delicious! Our server, Ashley, was very personable, friendly, great attitude and just fun! The owner stopped by severaltimes to make sure everything was fine. The staff here seem to genuinely care about the customer. We both commented how muchbetter the food is, than Charlie Clark's - and also cheaper. And then we heard diners at a nearby table say the same thing about15 minutes later! We will definitely be back. We arrived early for diner before the dinner crowds arrived. The service was great, Jason took very good care of us and had... excellent recommendations for food and drinks. Appetites were hot and tasty, and our meal was prepared to perfection. We had awonderful experience and will be going back again. Glad we went a little early the dinner crowd can get a little noisy and makehearing difficult. Prices are a little aggressive but the food and service minimizes the sting in the wallet. Recommended! Amelia was an amazing server!! Our group can be a bit rowdy, and she was right on par with us joking and being fun. The food was... fantastic, although all 3 of our steaks came out in different cooked temperatures than asked for, but they were still great.The atmosphere was great as well. Read more
