My husband and I went for our first time here for dinner tonight and had a great time. We both enjoyed our dinners, drinks, and... dessert. Our waitress Emalee was also super friendly. We look forward to going back. My only suggestion for dinner time would beto dim the lights to create more of a nighttime ambiance. Read more
Holy cow these folks go above & beyond! From the handcrafted folks of Waco planes in Michagan comes a ramp restaurant in... Lakeland. (Anyone know why? I don?t) Located on the ramp at Lakeland airport, this restaurant really has mixed fine style withgreat grub in an upscale yet still somewhat homely enjoyable experience. Prices are very reasonable and they have tasty foodserved by friendly human beings. Everyone was suspiciously over nice but maybe they really were nice folks or maybe it wasbecause the restaurant was new. Only time will tell. The food was tasty, served hot & fast. My grouper sandwich had a lot ofbreadcrumbs & the deep frying seemed a bit zealous (see picture) but I enjoyed it. My friend opted for the salad & he gave it a7.5 out of 10. The surroundings are truly modern with very comfortable seating in the booths. The ambiance puts you in a goodmood without trying. Of note, if you fly in, they will put your registration number on a small reservation sign for your tableor booth. Instant VIP! Love that. The food is AMAZING and the staff is so friendly. We've been to Waco for both lunch and dinner now and they never disappoint.... Every appetizer and entree my wife and I had was fresh and full of flavor. Last but not least, Barry served us and was veryhelpful, informative, and creative as he created custom drinks for our party of 3. Good food and service. It will be nice when they expand and have a full dinner menu in the evenings, though their small plates... for happy hour were good. Prices were also good... Wish they had prices on their drink menu, as they were more affordable than Ithought. Also missing an opportunity to offer "flights" of their wines (airport pun). Good atmosphere, nice views of theairport, friendly service, and good food. Looking forward to more from them soon! Edited to add: went to lunch there today, andit was excellent! Great service, delicious food. Everything on the menu sounded good, but I went with the veggie wrap, which wasvery tasty and full of grilled veggies. My Lakeland Kiwanis club has a social at WACO tonight so I ordered a charcuterie board to snack on. It was delicious! It had a... variety of cheeses and meats and pickled items. Shelby was the server, and she was very attentive and swift in her service(thank you). The environment was calm and felt classy. It was clean and airy. There was a very peaceful feeling all in all, andthe staff seemed friendly. I would definitely recommend a visit. Read more
