Fantastic local homecooking at its best. Went with friends and out of the three meals, all were perfect. Country fried steak is... my weakness, cooked perfectly, asked for the gravy on the side. Can't give higher praise on the meatloaf. Perfection and theturkey meal with mash potatoes, gravy and stuffing. All homemade. It's easy to see why this restaurant has been around so long.Oh, and definitely try the sweet potato pie. Best I've ever had. Read more
At this location that has been here for a long long time everything is homemade! I had the original Reese cliff hamburger with... the works it was scrumptious. My wife had a chopped sirloin steak with mashed potatoes collard greens and fried okra everythingwas fresh from the kitchen! We didn't have any room for their homemade pies so we had to take that home with us. They make theirown batter for their onion rings that I had with my burger they were humongous they were a meal in themselves. We didn't haveany room for dessert but we took home a couple pieces of apple pie again freshly made looks fabulous if it tastes like the mealwe will be in heaven this evening with our apple pie ala mode at our home!! There is plenty of parking here the staff was veryfriendly and professional if you have never been here it is worth your while to come and experience the old time charm andflavor of this location. I used to love going to this restaurant with my family. We were regular customers and always enjoyed the good food and friendly... atmosphere. In recent years, quality of customer service has dropped considerably. The past several times I have tried to callan order for pickup, people either refuse to answer or pass the phone around to different waitresses because they don't want totake the order. Today, I called to make an order and the person that answered tried to say they "couldn't hear me" and tried tohang up on me. Then, she they told me to "wait a minute" which turned into more than 5 minutes. The phone receiver was left onthe counter so you could here background conversation, which included discussion of who was going to take the call (no oneparticularly wanted to answer). I ended up hanging up the phone. Honestly, I've had this rude behavior dining in or picking upan order recently. Not particularly friendly anymore and treated like just another number on a list of customers. It's a shamethat a restaurant my family loved to go to is no longer offering quality service and my family and I will no longer be goinghere, but I do appreciate the fond memories. Read more
A friend and I dined here today 10/19/2021 for lunch. I was very impressed with the meal I ordered. I ordered the Tuesday... Special Country Fried Chicken smothered in White Pepper Gravy, served with three sides and fresh baked bread. I chose MashedPotatoes with White Pepper Gravy, Green Beans, Onion Rings and a Corn Bread Muffin. The food was absolutely outstanding, one ofa kind. The meal had a Gourmet style, quality and taste. The Onion Rings were possibly the best I have ever had, the batter hada Waffle Like Flavor. The Sweet Iced Tea was perfect and the Chocolate Cream Pie with Whipped Cream for dessert was verydelicious. Lee our waitress was very welcoming, friendly and informative. Lee informed us of all the flavors of Pie offered,without reading the choices, she had them memorized. She asked us how our food was, within one minute of serving us andconstantly kept our Sweet Iced Tea's replenished. A very nice Vintage, one of a kind restaurant. Highly Recommend! We willreturn. Food at Reececliff is always very good! Our waitress was fast and very cordial!! I had the Patty Melt with Onion Rings; it was... a very large order of Onion Rings (the batter was very light & crispy and the Rings were sliced and extra thick)! Soooo good!
