Today was my 4 year wedding anniversary and my husband and I decided to give Red Door in Lakeland a try for dinner since I had... heard it was good years ago and the menu sounded interesting. I was excited to see the eclectic menu, but ended up disappointedin my meal. We ordered the bread and infused butter app, it was just ok. The bread was 5 seconds away from being too charred toeat and the infused butter was lackluster but did the job since we were hungry. We tried the El Lucha-door tequila cocktail (Don Nacho Tequila, pineapple/habanero shrub, house-made cherry/cinnamon syrup, lime juice) but unfortunately, it just tastedlike watered down tequila with no other flavors present. Reminded me of tequila and water. ($13) Onto the dinners, my husbandordered the Pan Seared Scallops($36) (charred corn succotash, carrot puree, chicharrones). His meal was amazing. The Scallopswere delicately seared and plump, the charred corn succotash was extremely flavorful and the carrot puree was smooth. Althoughvery tasty, the portions were a little smaller than expected, but overall this dish was very much enjoyed. Onto my meal, Iordered the Crispy Pork Belly (serrano relish, shredded pickled veg, corn puree, micro radish). The presentation was nice, butoverall dish was not. upon trying to cut my first bite, I was literally fighting with the pork belly as if it was jerky, I wasbasically sawing it but to little avail. Upon first chew, the pork belly was tough and the fried portion was so overly friedthat it turned to dust in your mouth and gave an overwhelming salty flavor. (Imagine a gas station fried chicken thats beensitting under a heat lamp and then refried) The Serrano relish was very minimal on top of the 'pickled veg' (which really justlooked like dry coleslaw). It had no pickled flavor or texture, so it added no real flavor. On my second bite I literally waschewing and could not get the mouthful down, I was chewing and chewing and chewing until I gave up and it Read more

Party of 6 walked in at around 11:45 restaurant was empty. The dishes are not worth the money. Chicken was burned to a crisp as... well as anything that was fried. I?m sure oil needs to be changed. Seems like buns are old as can be, super stale. Overall aTerrible experience. Read more

This was my second time having lunch here. Let?s get the bad stuff out of the way first. It?s very pricey for lunch. Definitely... not your typical place to grab lunch. Our lunch for 4 was over $170. Now let?s move on to the good stuff. The food is amazing!Everything we ordered was perfect. The deviled eggs are wonderful. The bread and butter is a must. The house made gnocchi wasout of this world amazing! The basil infused crème brûlée was a little odd at first bite but definitely worth a try as itfinished our lunch up very perfectly. Read more

The service was excellent and the restaurant had a wonderful ambience. Unfortunately, the food was very hit or miss. All of the... appetizers were delicious but some of the entrees fell flat. It's worth a try but I suggest asking a lot of questions about thedishes preparation. My friend was very disappointed with her duck dish. It was basically a few pieces of shredded duck on asalad. It wasn't what she expected at all. Read more

The appetizers were delicious and so was the bread and butter. The bread came with two infused butters. The service was great,... food had a great presentation, restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. My only complaint is that my Duck Confit was wildlymisrepresented in the description. It was basically a salad with shredded duck. I did not enjoy it. My friends, however, hadgreat entrees. Read more
