La Imperial is a combo-cafe, coffee shop, and bakery offering a ton of excellent Puerto Rican desserts and food. I dropped in... for breakfast and ordered a slice of guava and cheese pie which did not disappoint. Paired with a cafe con leche made for agreat start to my day. I also snagged a loaf of freshly baked bread while I was in! Read more

Great service and delicious food. We had the medianoche sandwich and the Cuban sandwich as well as the potato balls. Our boys... are picky eaters and enjoyed the sandwiches as well. Their Cuban coffee was perfect. Read more

During our visit, we can say the place was very nice, clean and welcoming: The interior looks bigger than from the outside so... was a very nice surprise for the open feeling. Costumer service was great, we felt very welcome and happy bc how friendly theirassociates were. Was packed of ppl and everyone maintain a good spirits while awaiting our foods just bc the nice and happyenergy transmitted by their associates keeping us informed also on everything and others, ty! Time waiting for a Tripletasandwich and a Mofongo Bowl from lunch special was fair considering was peak time on a Saturday; Also ordered some pastries justto experience the flavor from the place and all was delicious! Definitely stopping by here more often! Keep up with the awesomework! ???? Read more

First time visiting this place. We visited because we were searching a good Latin restaurant (so we thought). To start, we... ordered two Breakfast Spcials which included eggs (cooked to your liking) and the choice of either ham or bacon. My wife had thebacon, and I had the ham. We waited for our food for over 1/2 an hour (considering there's a sign that let's you know to expectdelays, because the food is cooked from scratch), but 1/2 an hr, like really! After 1/2 an hr I walked to the counter and askedwhat the issue with our food was, the young lady who works at the counter turns around, and asked the cook for our order, andshe's told our order had been ready for a while, but we weren't never called about it. I mentioned it to the young lady, and shedidn't seemed to cared. Both the ham and the eggs were salty on both orders. At the point we didn't wanted to complain. We justdidn't see the point. Needless to say, we will not be going back Read more

This place was recommended while attending a class in Polk County. I ordered for pickup but ended up eating inside the... restaurant. Before I even walked in the place the smell was amazing! I had the Trifongo lunch special, which I have never triedbefore. The dish is delicious! The plantains combined with the meat, then adding the broth...OMG ???? YES....more por favor! Read more

Amazing!! I heard about this place just decided over the weekend to go. I didn?t make it, but I did on Wednesday and was... delighted. The portions were more than enough; my wife and I split the 1/2 lunch Cuban special, and it was more than we couldeat (see photos). I was impressed with the side order of sweet plantains as well. Again look at the pictures, and for $21 with atip, a bargain! I was not too fond of take-out boxes for dining in, but my wife mentioned makes it easier to take home. Not afan of that or ordering being asked to leave a tip on the CC machine and then cleaning up after myself (maybe that?s a COVIDthing?). I would return if not only to get a hand-rolled cigar (yep, they sell cigars!) Stop on by; you won?t be disappointed???? Read more
