Eating with them is always a nice experience. Their food is good, prices are reasonable, servers are always very welcoming and... sweet. I love their gambo and their fried pickles are the best ever, with a thin breading and a great choice of dill pickles touse in it. We went with an old friend of my husband there and everyone enjoyed their food. Amy, the server, was just perfect. Iwould definitely recommend them and come back for more! Read more
Spending the night in Lakeland, FL on the way to the Keys and our desk clerk at the hotel recommended Fish City Grill. Walking... distance was a plus. So glad we came. My Mussels Tomato Basil was delicious. Yummy mussels with cherry tomatoes, lemon pepperbutter and garlic. Served with a large slab of buttered French bread to help sop up that awesome sauce. Hubby had the friedshrimp, ( he's not as adventurous when it comes to food), didn't leave a morsel. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and if we livedlocally, this place would definitely be a favorite. Packed house, and still seated within 25min! Calamari has great flavors for an appetizer and dipping sauces were on point. Fish... Tacos were great with a bowl of clam chowder (packed full of potatoes and clams). The fish and chips was great but try themashed potatoes, they were perfect. Dinner was delicious. Shrimp and grits are better than most I've had elsewhere. Service was awesome, even at peak dinner hours.... The spicy shrimp boil was a huge hit for the group and we will definitely visit again when we return to Lakeland. Drove up from South Florida to visit a friend to celebrate our birthdays.. when I got in town we headed over for some good... seafood as the reviews were great. And it didn't disappoint.. the gulf oysters were large and fresh.. had the reddish withblackened shrimp in cream creole sauce.. it was as amazing as it sounds.. and our server Laden just topped off the night.. hewas so attentive helpful with decisions and just a nice guy.. we didn't tell him but he overheard us toasting happy birthday..he then came over and offered us birthday dessert.. what a pleasant evening Read more
Great service and good food. Go for happy hour! We got smokin hot shrimp and oysters to start, both good. Then split fish tacos,... which were OK. Cheap drinks at happy hour too. Food out lightning quick, friendly servers. Would recommend. Read more
Highly recommend! Delicious food, casual atmosphere, waiters/waitresses are super friendly. We ended up there by mistake but... it?s the best mistake ever. I ordered the shrimp on a bed of creamy polenta and it was absolutely delicious. My hubby orderedtrout and he still can?t stop talking about it to this day. We also ordered calamari. The server was awesome. He was patient and was very quick to get the food to the table. Had the oyster nachos, which were not... really nachos but more like six little chips in a circle on the plate. A little disappointing for portion sizes, so I got theroasted jalapeño soup too, which was good but could have been spicier. All in all, a nice meal but not worth the price. Read more
