Our Server was very Pleasant. Tasteless Variety of Mussels ! Asked for some Onion for a Burger and was told that they didn't... have any in the Kitchen. Great food! Lakefield needed a restaurant like this! Basic food, small menu, but my goodness, it was delicious. We ordered the... fried squid as an appetizer, assuming it would be the typical, it was most definitely not. Best I?ve ever had. Our kids hadchicken strips (they were ok), and a grilled cheese (large and very cheesy) and they shared a poutine. My wife and I had a sharealso, and we couldn?t stop eating. My wife and I had the ?Loonatic? burgers and they were cooked perfectly, and paired with avery unique Caesar salad, popcorn and a homemade Caesar dressing. Again, best we?ve had! After following The Loon on Instagram for over a year we decided to try it out, and they did not disappoint! From the smoked... butter that came with their bread, to the strawberry mojito, to their Caesar salad (with popcorn on top!!!) everything was topnotch. When we ordered, the waitress kindly let us know that what we ordered takes a bit longer to make, which was appreciatedknowing that they take our time seriously. I ordered the bison burger and Caesar salad and my girlfriend Ordered their wings an hour ago came home and Their house bbq... sauce tasted like terrible canned spaghetti sauce. Who ever is behind the kitchen needs to learn to taste the food they sendout. Because that was absolutely dreadful. My burger was under seasoned and non toasted bun it was pretty disappointing when theCesar salad and the fries are the best part. Will not be ordering from the loon again. Read more
I can not begin to say how amazing the food and service is at The Loon! Someone recommended this place to us and we went in to... taste the food and fell in love - so much that they ended up catering our wedding! Chef Matt is incredible!! He is very clearlypassionate about his food and it shows in the amazing quality and presentation. The team made our special day so perfect andstress free, it was incredible. The food was fantastic, and our guests couldn't stop raving about it! We're really happy that the old Thirsty Loon has reopened / rebranded at this new location. We've had the ribs, burgers, shrimp... tacos and we've fed our kiddo the fries, chicken fingers, mac & cheese. All of which were decent and worth getting again. I'mlooking forward to being able to take advantage of the patio / dining indoors! Editing to add: it tastes and looks like theymake their burger patties in house! Read more
Wonderful service, delicious food. The highway traffic on the patio is a bit noisy but have a glass of wine and you won?t... notice. I had the Nashville chicken sandwich, to die for. Worth the drive to beautiful Lakefield Read more
