Wanting to try something different on a Friday night, I stopped by this place that I know call a hidden gem. The food was... amazing, and I mean absolutely AMAZING. I ordered a Reuben, Cajun crab dip, and a Pork tenderloin sandwich. The food was sogood, hot, fresh, and individually prepared from scratch. The owner is an amazing person with an amazing story. She loves allpeople, and welcomes everyone. Read more

This restaurant is a much needed addition to Lake Wales. When Covid hit many businesses decided to close on Monday, Wales Pointe... is one of a very few places that you can eat in town on Monday. The portions are quite generous, I had their Turkey Club(Special of the Day) and it was HUUUUGE. The servers are knowledgeable of the menu and they have pretty tasty wine-basedcocktails. They've only been open for a short time and have already had several live events including a duo "Just the 2 of Us"saxophone and vocalist. They are Amazing! The restaurant even hosted 2 comdey shows. I believe this restaurant has tons tooffer, the food is good, the owner (Tiffany) is very pleasant and inclusive, and they're bringing entertainment to an otherwisesleepy town. I recommend the following: Catfish meal, Shrimp and Grits, Turkey Club, Vegan Burger Oh amd they have severalgluten free options which is definitely a bonus. Read more

I came across this little gem in downtown Lake Wales' historic district today and decided to stop in for lunch. The menu is... relatively small but that is not necessarily a bad thing. I always believe that restaurants should stick with a few things anddo them well. And that is apparently what they have chosen to do here. (And at decent prices.) I had the reuben sandwich andfries. The sandwich was very tasty and generous with the meat. The fries were battered and seasoned to perfection. And theportion size was quite large. I could have taken half of it home but it was so good, I ate the entire thing in onesitting! The young girl who served me was very nice and attentive. The atmosphere is a bit spartan. Not much decor other thana few cool stenciled murals on the walls and a couple of large screen televisions. But the smooth, relaxing jazz and R&B musicplaying in the background more than made up for it! If you are in downtown Lake Wales and hungry, I recommend you check outWales Pointe. Read more

A great local place that is even open on a Sunday. We both had the grouper sandwich, but I chose mine without the bun. There are... the standard sides and veggies of the day.( have to balance out the diet) There is a nice outside seating area in front allowingto enjoy the outside. Service was great. We will return again soon so I can try the "creamy style" shrimp and grits! Yumms Read more

We went during the soft opening while they were offering breakfast/brunch/lunch, although we learned that they have plans for a... dinner menu in the future. The table layout may need to be reworked, but we enjoyed the music and atmosphere. Staff werepleasant, proactive, and open to suggestions. I enjoyed the shrimp and grits at around 10am and it was a good value at $10.99.Portion was generous and very tasty. At first I thought the sauce was too thin, but later came to appreciate that it mixed sowell with the grits because I didn?t want to leave any of it behind! My party also had an omelette $8.99, which was again agenerous portion and very tasty. Two important notes: 1) cheese was an up-charge (these are strange times) and 2) it came with aside item, despite the menu not explicitly stating so, making it a better value. This could apply to other items as well becauseI?m sure that all of the kinks haven?t been worked out of the menu yet. There seemed to be other cafes around if you are lookingfor just a cheap meal, but if you are looking for a step up from that in terms of food selection, quality, and atmosphere? givethis place a try. The eggs benedict and biscuits and gravy will be on my list for next time, as they looked to be delicious aswell. And I will say, there was something fantastic to me about a Cajun inspired brunch.
