LOVE eating here! It's close to home, the service has always been great and the food has never been less than phenomenal! The... tuna appetizer was just the way we like it, lightly seared & although the Wasabi sauce was delicious, I really enjoyed themilder chili sauce! It was empty when I showed up; I was worried I had chosen poorly despite the strong reviews. But by the time my food was served,... it had completely filled up! My concerns were definitely unfounded. The fish dip appetizer is possibly the best thing in themenu and the best thing I have tasted in months. Had the flounder as the entree. It didn't knock my socks off like the fish dipbut it was cooked perfectly and tasted good. The fries and coleslaw were great as well. I had such a hard time deciding what Iwanted as their menu is more vast than I could preview here on Google. Glad I visited. I will be back for more dip and to tryone of the other entrees. Read more
We stumbled on Melanie's while looking a new place to go for dinner in Lake Wales. So glad we did. Staff was really friendly and... the food was great. It wasn't inexpensive, but it wasn't over priced considering the quality of the food along with theamount. We got the lobster Mac & Cheese and the crab cakes. Both were excellent, but the surprise was my wife saying thespinach was the best she ever had. Read more

Went for lunch during the week after visiting Bok Tower. I definitely did not expect much, but we were very impressed! The... prices are pretty steep, but the portions are huge. The smoked fish dip was very good. The lobster roll had a lot of lobster,but it was pretty tough and very pricey (which I understand). Will go back but order something other than the lobster roll. My friend and I stopped in to have some lunch. Both of our first time eating here. Jen was our server, she was great! Prompt to... greet us, get our drinks, and order in. Food was fresh and delicious. We started off with fried mushrooms, they came out freshwith a horseradish sauce.. so delicious!! I got the Mel burger which was fantastic! It was perfectly cooked to order. My friendgot the oyster poboy, I think he really enjoyed it judging by how he literally breathed in his food. My friend then orderedhimself a chocolate cheesecake. I had 2 bites and it was delicious! My friend then ordered me to box my fries to bring home, soI take it he also enjoyed the fries as much as I did. The fries, I believe are cut in house. No way they ordered them in frozen,they are amazing! If you're ever in lake wales, definently stop in for lunch (or dinner) and try to get Jen as your server. Read more
My husband and I were out today to pick up a few grocery items and decided to eat lunch while we were out. This was the first... time we have eaten here. It was great! The special was shrimp and grits, which is only available on Wednesdays and Saturdays. I highly recommend visiting on one of these days so you can take advantage of this special. It was amazing. The service wasjust as remarkable. Our server was Amber and she did a wonderful job making menu recommendations. Although the prices are alittle more than you might normally pay for lunch, you will not be disappointed. We will be returning. Read more
