We had dinner at the Inn. You can dine inside or outside. The view is beautiful. It is right on the lake and adjacent to the... country club in the estates community. It is a good 15 minutes off the main road and all the way in the back of the community. It is dark and there are no street lights. They seem short staffed. Our server was friendly and polite, but not veryefficient. It took about 15 minutes for someone to take our drink order. We ordered the pork chop and our server didn't bringa knife to cut it. I finally got his attention after 10 minutes to ask for a steak knife. We never had our water glassesrefilled and were only given a half glass to start. We got 2 pieces of bread for the 2 of us and it was very hard. They had anice selection of wines. I was not impressed for the amount of money it cost. I expected much better service and quality. Mysalad had something in it that was hard and tasted like dirt. I am not sure if it was something with the lettuce or sunflowerseeds. What an incredible venue! We did not stay at the Inn but attended a rehearsal dinner here the night before a wedding. The room... was gorgeous and had amazing views looking out onto Lake Toxaway. Service was great. Everyone is accommodating and friendly. We stayed in The Cooper Room in Hillmont. Very large room with... beautiful view of the lake. We played pickleball and tennis all weekend (except when raining). Keurig machines and dailybottled water replacements for coffee. Our shower door was missing weatherstripping but they fixed it within 30 mins ofreporting. Minor things: consumables are provided in hard-to-use, single-use containers. Tubes or wall mounted dispenserswould be preferable. Outside alcohol is prohibited and drinks are very expensive, but then so is just abouteverything. Beautiful place though. We took my mom here to remember what would have been my parents 61st wedding anniversary. The steak and salmon was delicious... along with the shrimp and grits (We did not expect the tomato sauce with it. One of us is allergic to tomatos) tomatoes. Crystal our server was amazing and Brandy, the bar tender was good to see. We met Brandy as our server at another localrestaurant which has since closed.
