This eating house was recommended to me by my friend. A cozy little place about a furlong away from the parking lot was an oasis... for us on a hot summer afternoon. Decor of the restaurant is simple and attractive We ordered Buffalo Chicken wrap,PortobelloChicken Sandwich,soup of the day and beer.Service was quick and efficient and food was warm and delicious. Food was on point. I had a the Reuben sandwich and I had the gracenote for my drink. Bread was fresh and delicious, meat was... delightful and they even cooked the fries perfectly. Staff was very nice as well and the interior is very nice. Great price fora nice lunch. Read more
It started raining, and the place got packed so we had to wait a bit to get in. But it was totally worth it. The best meal... that we had in Lake Placid over 4 days. Both seafood Tuscan combo pasta and the stuffed soul were excellent. The champagnethat we wanted wasn't available, but the excellent waiter Mia - found another great Champagne in the cellar - that was evenbetter. I have worked as a food and wine Photographer for over 18 years. I came to Lake Placid with my family on vacation and didn?t... have any expectations a food being the great. After walking on main street and walking by a barbecue smoke pit. I have theoverwhelming since to yak from the smell. I walked a little farther towards the Luna restaurant. Place wasn?t overly packed andseemed very quaint to visit. A gentleman greeted us and set us down and I found his conversation very interesting. He?s fromYugoslavia and we talked about the culture and the food there. We ordered our meal and sat down and visit with each otherwaiting for a meal. Getting served seem like I was waiting for my plane from China, but the weight was worth every minute. Thesteak was great and not overly seasoned to kill the flavor than meat. The bruschetta was very good because the rich taste of thebalsamic vinaigrette. Overall I would give us place a great review because of the food and the hospitality that they showed.Only thing I would change is if you were the wines on the list, because they?re a palling. So if you ever get a chance to visitthe Luna restaurant, you?ll be completely satisfied end know you?re getting a good meal. Thank you for the great experience. Read more
Food 3/5 Really liked the calamari and salmon appetizers, and the bread was lovely. Unfortunately the pasta was lacked flavor.... Ordered the carbonara, fettucine alfredo, and veal with pasta, all had no depth and was just super plain overall. Interior2/5 The kitchen's smoke pretty much made the entire restaurant smokey and hard to breathe. There were flies inside anddisappointingly stuffy with not the cleanest smell when we first walked in. Service 4/5 Decent service, nothing to complainabout. Read more
We went to enjoy a meal as a family with a 2 yearold. We ordered the children's spaghetti and meatball child's dish. Turns out... you don't get it for the advertised price of $14, they charge an additional $6 for one meatball. It was less food and nearly asmuch money as the adult meals. They also add a surprise surcharge if you use a card that isn't advertised anywhere that we saw.I've bought cars with less hidden fees. The food was good, the service was fine, but the price was unpredictable. Read more
