I always wondered about this coffee shop as I have often passed by it. Today, three of us stopped in and I am sorry to say we... were disappointed. To start, the barista was not friendly or welcoming. My friend wanted a chai latte and I decided to try onemyself for the first time, as I already had a double espresso in the morning. Sad to say, the chai lattes were sickening sweet. I thought it was the customer who decided on the sugar. We were never asked our preference. In any case, my friend did notdrink his and placed it in the trash and I forced my down. It was regrettable. The only person who enjoyed a drink got a fruitjuice in a bottle. We selected this place to sit down and stay for a little while, drinking coffee and maybe getting a little work done, but the... coffee tasted burnt and we ended up barely drinking it. Also, the Internet was so slow we couldn?t open any web pages or do themost basic tasks (like check email). The place itself is kinda cute and the owner was friendly and willing to allow us to useour reusable coffee mugs which was appreciated. Read more

We came here for breakfast on our first day in Lake Placid. It was next door to our hotel and I read online that they allow... dogs. Not everywhere is keen on allowing our 85 pound dog inside so we were thankful that we found somewhere so close. Weordered two of the breakfast croissants which were absolutely delicious, a pumpkin latte and a maple latte. There was only oneman running the show but service was still quick and he was friendly. I would recommend this place for a quick bite or hot cupof coffee. I loved the decor inside, it?s quaint and cozy. Read more
