I used to love this Red Owl and come all the time, but these past few months of going have not impressed me. I love their coffee... and I prefer it over Starbucks. I usually get the Iced Caramel Macchiato, but recently they have been filling it up way too muchand it leaks out everywhere. It has become more of a hassle to get it and I would rather not get it. When I ask for napkins,some of the workers will make me feel like I am being a inconvenience. I go for the Sugar Free and Guilt Free options, and a lotof the times they only have a select few flavors in the store and they will be out for a few weeks at a time. That is not aproblem, as I understand they get a lot of business and there are supply chain shortages. I will still come here because I lovethe coffee and they still have some good workers there. Right off the interstate, so glad we stopped! We got everything from a cappuccino, to their own coffee blend and a hot... chocolate. All was delicious and the woman who waited on us was super sweet and answered all of our questions. If you aretraveling, great, quick stop. Read more
The staff were friendly. On 6/24 I ordered a latte. The barista didn't touch the espresso machine, instead she went into the... back. I didn't hear a steam wand or any grinding. She came back and handed me a cup that tasted like it came from a "cappuccinomachine" at a gas station. My wife ordered an Americano. They poured her some cold coffee from a bin (maybe cold brew, notespresso) that tasted awful. But this is not how coffee works. I'm not from the area, but this seems to be a local chain. Delicious, smooth coffee! Before we got back to the car, we went back for more! Friendly service. Clean and spacious. Would have... loved to sit inside and drink my coffee but we had to hit the road. Cute neat mom and pop coffee shop that I passed on my road trip back home to Chicago from Florida. I ordered the signature drink... Dark Mocha and Caramel over ice, and all I got to say is I would take drinking here over a Starbucks or Dunkin any day of theweek! Great quality coffee and very outgoing/friendly staff. Traveling on 75-s and noticed an advertisement for this place and had to try! They did not disappoint. I got a seasonal drink... and my kids got a milkshake and a smoothie. Everyone was super happy with their drink! We will be back on our next trip. Read more
