Great location for a resort but very run down. I know they just got new owners but it's going to take a lot to get it fixed up... again. Also our room was right next to a sewage treatment center so the smell was awful on our balcony most of the day. Bar andrestaurant were great with good service and good food and drinks The rooms were outdated and not cleaned very well. We pulledthe sheets back in our bed and found M&Ms in between the sheets so I assume they didn't change out the sheets so we asked fornew ones. The swimming beach and pools were great, very kid friendly. If we decide to go back it's because of the 2 pools andthe swimming area. Read more
This place is a dump. The only endearing quality is the view of the lake and pools. The owners should be embarrassed by the bad... reviews because they are all true! The room we have stinks of mildew and is disgusting. My kids and I can't even breathe. Itook Clorox wipes to everything, including the floors, and the wipes were filthy. There is a lampshade that's covered with dustor mold, who knows? Everything is stained, nasty, outdated and the bedding is unwashed. I can smell the mustiness. The beds areawful and I'm tempted to go sleep in my car and take off in the morning with my family. I paid for 2 nights, but we are leavingafter 1. Reason for my rating: Very outdated room and the bed/mattress was horrible, super uncomfortable (almost like a table filled air... plastic wrap) The towels felt super old/washed out, no shampoo/conditioner provided and the worst part is that I've never stayedat a "Hotel Resort" where WE the customers are required to take the trash out and clean their dishes/kitchenette. Their music isblasting 24/7 until 10:30pm and walls are so thin you can hear everything. The only thing I liked was the pool access and food.Service from the restaurant downstairs was great and the food was delicious. I don't think it was worth spending $260 for twonights though. Family has been coming here for over 15 years and this trip was by far the best experience so far. Thanks to new owners there... are many improvements. Love the new pool setup! For the first time we really enjoyed having awesome service and actually usedthe bar and restaurant more than ever before. Ashlynn was awesome. Love going here and will be back for many more years. This is a family resort. The history of the resort makes it a hidden gem. Great food, inside and outside pools are "connected"... open air during summer ...there is a horseshoe bar and billiards...a gas dock, protected covered dock slips and ? gasoline. Needice? I give one star for the nice staff. However, the room was dirty, TV channels didn?t work, WiFi didn?t work. The pot smell from... the room above was overwhelming. The beds were awful (found bugs in one). We left a day early. Read more
