Took my mom and her friends for her birthday. The food is amazing. We had their appetizers calamari and garlic shrimp nice and... tender. My mom had the eggplant no complaints. My friends shared the pallea and they had leftovers to take home. I had theirsteak a bit overdone but tasty.The view is extraordinary since it wasn't peak season the trees have yet to bloom but overallworth the visit. I discovered the secret. I am not a big fan of this place. Friends always want to go during the summer. It is always crowded and... you can wait over an hour at times (I usually leave if that's the case). However, went her a week ago and the food wasfantastic. Lots of locals and the place was pretty busy, but nothing like the warmer months. I guess the kitchen turns outbetter food when there is less of a crowd. Now I know! Their food in the summer is 3 stars only. I'll come during the coldmonths. Read more
Had a surprise birthday party for my wife on 6/2/18 at the Windlass Restaurant. The Windlass is one of our favorite restaurants... in NJ. We had a party of 11 and I just wanted to thank the staff for their great service last night. The food as usual wasexcellent. Thank you for making this celebration such a wonderful time. Burger, guacamole and beer was good. Nice view of the lake. Prices are a little high, but paying for being on the lake. Still... reasonable, especially on a nice day. Read more
