From the moment we walked in it felt so warm and cozy . Sunday morning breakfast was busy. We were seated in 5 minutes. Service... was amazing , waitress was very pleasant and attentive. My boyfriend and I came here for breakfast and ordered the Farmer?s Omelette. It was $14.95 for one and we assumed it was going... to be a small portion. But boy did we get a surprise. The portion size of this meal was huge! The omelette came with a side ofhome fries and buttered toast. The home fries weren?t seasoned so it was bland. We seasoned it ourselves with salt and pepper toour liking. The omelette was pretty good and filling. I just didn?t like how there was so much onions inside. Excellent customer service and excellent food. We were a party of 2 adults and 3 kids and were all pleased with our meals.... Pictured is the Mexican burger, which we should have shared. The adult and children's portions were both huge burgers and plentyfries. There is a dessert section--pies, cookies, pastries that we didnt get to test, as we were so full. We overheard otherdiners talking about how long they've been customers and how far they traveled to dine there. It's a great family-friendly dinerwith delicious options. Read more

Great place for a bite to eat. I has that old diner feeling but, in a really good way. It can be a little bit noisy at times. ... But, otherwise great food and plenty of parking. The bathroom was very clean. Read more
The food is always good here as is the service. Our waitress was good but the food took a long time for eggs and sandwiches (... approximately 20 minutes). We go frequently although this time the food came out very slowly. We usually depend on this fastservice and this time it caused us to be late for an appt. Read more
Went here on my visit to Port Jefferson and had a great dinner with my Ladies family. I had the deluxe bacon cheeseburger with... fries and it was perfect! I could taste the char on the burger and mmmm it was delicious. Went back for breakfast and had the 2eggs over medium with sausage and potatoes and the potatoes were crispy without the starchiness. The Lake grove diner is freaking awesome. Legitimately the best dinner in Long Island. Super clean and outstanding food. I eat... here all the time and there is a reason it is my normal stomping ground. All the burgers, sandwiches, wraps , salads andbreakfast fare has been very good. Portion sizes are generous and enough to eat 2 meals in most cases. Highly recommend!!! Read more
