Absolutely amazing K-BBQ. A+ 10/10! Great portions. I've eaten here over a dozen times and every time it is phenomenal. The... Spicy Pork is my go-to, Chicken Katsu second, and Beef Bulgogi third. The Fish Jun and Meat Jun are also very good, veryauthentic. I have not tried the Kal-Bi but fellow reviews attest it is also amazing. Their selection of Banchan is on point. Ilove the Kimchi, Korean Broccoli, Spicy Cucumber, Seaweed Salad, and of course their Mac Salad! Getting Chicken Katsu with allMac Salad is soooo good. This is a mom 'n pop family run business. Last time I was in one of the owners said they were a Koreanfamily from Hawaii, so that's why this food is so amazing, it's Korean/Hawaiian fusion come to the Mainland. I love places thatdo this, you're getting a mixture of culture in your dishes. You can taste the love and care with the food here. Support localsmall businesses and get some Umma's K-BBQ! A local buzzing counter order Korean bbq restaurant. Umma?s offers a number of different meat dishes served over rice with a... choice of home made banchan (side dishes). They are so proud of all of their items that they couldn?t even single one out torecommend, rather that any that I choose I would like. Their dishes come in two sizes, ?mini? and ?regular?, although I thinkit would be more appropriate to call them ?regular? and ?large?, as the mini portion was already a full meal. I ended upordering the bulgogi (BBQ beef) plate, and it was delicious. The meat is well seasoned and well flavored and goes great with therice. It is not overly sweet or salty, and you do get a generous serving. The meat is cooked to order, so it comes out steaminghot fresh to eat, at the cost of a small wait time to cook. They have a number of side dishes, which they are also very proudof. Macaroni salad, bean sprouts, kimchi, seasoned tofu, chap chae (glass noodles), spicy cucumber, etc. The restaurant alsooffers family packs with larger servings to go, and catering options. Lovely place with great options. You choose the type of plate (choice of meat + rice) you want and you get 2-4 sides depending... on the size. The bulgogi is thinly sliced almost reminds me of brisket, but definitely has the bulgogi marinade. The bbqchicken is nice and tender with a good marinade as well. The macaroni salad and chap chae are my fave sides! Read more
