A very nice place, with pretty good food. It has a convenient outdoor patio where you can bring your dog (they even have water... bowls set up outside). The bakery items are a mix of traditional Japanese offerings and fusion mix with English and perhapsFrench influences.\n\nOne stand out is their cheesecake - it is excellent, and is a 5/5.\n\nThey also have an small, buteclectic offering of craft beers.\n\nThe food is a bit pricey, perhaps more than one would expect.\n\nThe staff are exceptional, with a traditional Japanese customer service attitude.\n\nOverall a nice place to come for breakfast or brunch. Nice and clean little bakery. The staff are very friendly. They do have indoor and iutdoor seatings. Parking is easy.\n\nI... love their Matcha Latte. They use oat milk instead of regular milk. Tried their bakery items, some are good, some are so so. If you like Matcha, try their Matcha cheesecake. Read more

We love Brio Brio! A hidden gem in Lake Forest with lots of delicious Japanese pastries, bread, sandwiches, dessert, coffee, tea... and more! Did I also mention they serve wine and beer (very limited selection) if you\'re in the mood to partake? We stopped byto try their roast beef sandwich and pork belly sandwich - both were delicious! However, if you don\'t like a lot of sauce inyour sandwich, the pork belly has a tad much according to the hubby. I on the other hand don\'t mind it - bring it on. The roastbeef would be your safer bet and it does not disappoint. The meat quality is on point along with the fixings. The only thing Iwould note is that the sandwiches are in the $15+ range, but come with a side salad. And watch out for the roof of your mouth asthe bread does cut it up. It\'s best to eat the sandwich immediately when served as the bread is still a little on the softerside. Would definitely recommend this place to others! And make sure to try the \"hojicha or matcha financier\". Our favoriteloaf is the hojicha financier. Lightly sweetened loaf and easy to take the whole thing down. Read more

Cute little spot with some interesting baked goods. I only made a quick visit and ended up getting a hojicha latte and a curry... bread. Will definitely come back to try the sweeter breads and maybe a meal. The staff was friendly and you could definitelystudy inside with all the electrical outlets installed around the seating areas. Quick overview:\nBrio Brio is a delightful confusion of Japanese, French, and American café cuisine. What seems like an odd... combination of cultures at first proves to blend perfectly in unexpected ways. This cute bakery has a warm, welcoming interiorand a delightful outdoor seating patio, making it a perfect place for your morning cup of coffee, midday brunch, or an afternoonsnack. The abundance of outlets around the store also make it a wonderful place to study. And, in true French fashion, wine isavailable if you\'re looking for a more sophisticated outing.\n\nIn depth:\nI first noticed Brio Brio yesterday and figured itwould be a nice spot to finish reading the book I\'ve been working on. I was gladly correct about that assumption. The buildingwas clean, the staff was wonderful, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the music provided a nice ambiance without being too loudand distracting. Whenever I go to a new place I like to order specialties and sample the menu, so I ordered the avocado toast, amatcha scone, and, without anything popping out on the coffee menu, a regular hot latte. I could hardly have been more pleased.I received the scone first, and in retrospect I may have asked them to warm it up (it was served from the pastry case) but Ienjoyed it nonetheless. It was a unique pastry, truly epitomizing the fusion of Japanese and French, that delivered on bothtexture and taste. I then received the latte, which was exactly what you\'d expect from a decent caffe latte. Not too bitter, not burnt, not too weak or milky, and after adding just one packet of sugar the whole drink was perfectly rounded out andbalanced. When the avocado toast came out, I was a tad disappointed that there was only one piece, given it cost $7, but I washardly cheated. You may pay a similar price for two slices of avocado toast many other places, but Brio Brio is the first timeI\'ve ordered an avocado toast that didn\'t make me feel like we were in the midst of a terrible avocad Read more

Amazing options- from this Japanese, French, American, fusion bakery/restaurant. With so many delicious options from savory to... sweet, you can\'t go wrong. Don\'t be intimidated by the menu. If you are curious about what Hojicha is; it has a delicious, smooth roasted flavor with sweet notes. Think of what basic vanilla is but now with a touch of soul. I won\'t lie I usuallydrink this at home. So this is truly my favorite indulgence when I come here. Oh, and the brownies were a hit for my son\'steacher. The gluten-free lemon poppy seed cake is SO GOOD! Come show this place some love! Read more
